Huntsville: RHP Josh Stinson at Mississippi (Braves), 6:45 PM pre-game, 7:00 gametime

Free Live Audio Link -- Select the Huntsville feed from the MiLB main audio page

Alex Cohen is the new play-by-play voice of the Stars; follow him on Twitter @alexmcohen. It's fantastic that Huntsville is returning to what will be a traditional broadcast format this year. All games, home and away, are scheduled to be broadcast.

MiLB.TV subsciption note: Huntsville road games in four locales (Mississippi, Tennessee, Jacksonville and Pensacola) will be broadcast.

**********

Brevard County: RHP Drew Gagnon at home vs. Lakeland (Tigers), 5:35 PM gametime

Sorry, no audio available for this series...

Once again this season, Brevard does not have its own audio coverage. It appears two teams in the Manatees North Division (within which the majority of games are played) have audio, and all six teams in the South Division have audio (at least for their home games), so there will be opportunities to listen to approx. 70% or Brevard's games this season, just all from the opponent's perspective. There are no Florida State League games on MiLB.TV this year.

**********

Wisconsin: RHP Mark Williams at home vs. Peoria (Cubs), 11:45 AM pre-game, 12:05 PM gametime

Free Live Audio Link - 1280 AM WNAM

Chris Mehring is back to do his customary fantastic work as the Voice of the Rattlers. Follow him on Twitter @CMehring; we'll link to Chris' infamous blog often -- Rattler Radio.

MiLB.TV -- for subscribers; Wisconsin is one of only two (Great Lakes) Midwest League clubs that have all their home games available via MiLB.TV; Chris' call provides the audio. So for the $39.95 season-long package, fans in Brewer Nation can watch all Sounds games, all Timber Rattlers home games, and Stars' road games from four Southern League locales.

**********

Helena: RHP Leonard Lorenzo at home vs. Grand Junction (Rockies), 7:50 PM pre-game, 8:05 gametime

Free Live Audio Link -- Select the Helena feed from the MiLB main audio page

We're lucky to have Steve Wendt back on board for another H-Crew season.

**********

Arizona Rookie (Maryvale): at the Reds' complex in Goodyear; 9:00 PM gametime; never audio for games in this league

**********

Final: Peoria 4, Wisconsin 2

Peoria rallies to beat Wisconsin

Chiefs take three of four in series on Rattlers home field

By Chris Mehring / Wisconsin Timber Rattlers

GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Peoria Chiefs erased an early 2-0 deficit to defeat the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 4-2 Tuesday afternoon at Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium. Pin-Chieh Chen's RBI single in the seventh inning broke a 2-2 tie and the Chiefs finished off the victory. Peoria won three games in the four game series with the Rattlers.

Ben McMahan reached on a two out error in the bottom of the first inning. Cameron Garfield cashed in the opportunity with a double into the corner in left and McMahan scored for a 1-0 lead.

Wisconsin (72-54 overall, 28-29 second half) made it 2-0 in the third inning with some heads-up base running. Chadwin Stang was at first base with one out. Brandon Macias singled to right and Stang raced for third. The throw was cutoff and Macias found himself in a rundown. Macias stayed in the pickle long enough for Stang to make a break for home. The throw to get Stang was wild and he scored for a 2-0 lead.

Wisconsin starting pitcher Mark Williams gave up a run in the sixth. Jorge Soler's infield single with two outs allowed Sergio Burrell to score Peoria's first run. Williams struck out four and allowed one run on four hits in his six innings of work. He would not be involved in the decision.

The Chiefs (57-69, 21-36) took the lead in the seventh inning against Rattlers reliever Stosh Wawrzasek. The first two Peoria batters were retired by Wawrzasek, but Wes Darvill singled and stole second to keep the inning alive. Burrell singled to left and Darvill scored to tie the game. Additionally, Burrell took second on the throw to the plate. That turned out to be big.

Pin-Chieh Chen was next and he sent a grounder through the middle. Second baseman Greg Hopkins made a diving stop of the ball in shallow center and Burrell just kept running for home. The throw home was in time, but it was a shorthop and Burrell scored when the ball was bobbled at the plate.

Peoria tacked on an insurance run in the top of the ninth inning on a Rattlers mistake. Oliver Zapata was at third base with one out. Pitcher Mike Strong got a grounder back to the mound and had Zapata trapped off third. But, Wisconsin botched the rundown and Zapata scored for a 4-2 lead.

Wisconsin had just one hit after the sixth inning. Macias doubled with one out in the eighth inning, but that was it for the Rattlers offense after the Chiefs took the lead.

The homestand continues on Wednesday night with a game against the Cedar Rapids Kernels. Chad Pierce (6-4, 3.43) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Timber Rattlers. Frank De Jiulio (4-4, 5.70) is the scheduled starter for the Kernels. Game time is 7:05pm.

The first 500 fans to attend the game will receive magnet #4 in a series of four that have been given away this season by Lamers. This magnet is of former Timber Rattler and 2012 National League All-Star Bryan LaHair.

It's also one of the final Bang for Your Buck Nights from 105.7 WAPL with $1 Cher-Make hot dogs, $1 Pepsi Products, and $1 Miller Beers!

If you can't make it out to the ballpark, Time Warner Cable subscribers can watch the game on Sports32. Fans may also tune in for the broadcast on AM1280, WNAM or timberrattlers.com starting with the Miller Lite Pregame Show at 6:45pm. Wednesday's game is also available to subscribers of MiLB.TV.

Peoria's long run with the Cubs may be nearing an end -- hello, Kane County?

And yes, this is only relevant to Midwest League fanatics.

Ugh, that will probably keep me from going to any more games at Kane County. I love having the Brewers nearby in Appleton but I do sometimes long for the less crowded stadium days of being a Mariners affiliate. I can just imagine how obnoxious a stadium full of Minor League Cubs fans would be.

wow, he looks advanced! that arms is incredible. My only concern is that his body looks big for short, hope he doesnt grow out of the position.

I know he is only 20, but it is unlikely that he will hit well enough to play any other position.

@Mississippi 2, Huntsville 0

Huntsville Box

The story in this one was Braves 2011 4th rounder J.R. Graham, who allowed just a 1B & a BB over six shutout innings. Josh Stinson was no slouch, going 6 IP himself & allowing just 1 ER, but Graham was dominant.

Back-to-back throwing errors from Scooter Gennett in the 2nd directly led to the Braves' first run. Then, in the 3rd, three Mississippi singles generated one more run... and unfortunately, two was enough tonight.

Brian Garman worked a perfect 7th, and R.J. Seidel pitched around a leadoff 2B and a BB to get through the 8th unscathed.

Gennett (1-4, 2B), Hunter Morris (1-4), and Kentrail Davis (1-2, BB) were the only Stars to reach base in this one.

Huntsville PbP

I don't have anything to add here, aside from saying that this is the most feeble looking game log I can recall since I took over Huntsville L.R. duties earlier this season. I think you just have to tip your cap to Graham & the Braves tonight.

AZL Reds 1 AZL Brewers 0 F/6 (Completed Early)

Box Score

Not much happening at the plate. Jose Sermo went 2-3 with a 2B. SS Angel Ortega also hit a 2B in 2 AB's. Clint Coulter and Jalen Harris went 1-3. Dionis Hinojosa went 0-1 with a BB and 2 SB's.

The pitchers were much more exciting. First, Eduard Reyes continues his fine season with 4 more very solid innings. He allowed 6 H 1 R 1 ER 1 BB and notched 6 K and a 3:0 GO:FO. Rehabbing Santo Manzanillo finished the game with 2 perfect innings. No hits, no walks, no wild pitches, no balks and no K's. Just 5 GB and 1 FB for Santo.

Dustin Houle has a clean 6 innings behind the plate.

Can someone tell me if Wandy is related to Wily (Peralta, that is)? I spent 5 minutes trying to figure it out, and so far I see no mention of that.

Grand Junction 9 Helena 0

Box Score

Joel Pierce put together a pretty darn good outing with a nice 11 out start. He gave up just 3 H 1 R 1 ER 1 BB while setting down 5 and posting a 2:3 GO:FO ratio. His ERA is now under 9.00 on the year. Baby steps. Connor Whalen pitched (1 IP 0 R) after Pierce pushing Leonard Lorenzo towards the end of the game. Lorenzo really struggled allowing most of the Grand Junction damage. Elliot Glynn was summoned to suffer through the end of this one. He gave up a few more insurance runs in the 9th.

At the plate, Helena could not get much going. Ruben Ozuna did rap out two more hits. Jose Sermo hit a 2B among his two hits. Chrs McFarland also hit a 2B.
