Free Live Audio Link

Jeff Hem is the new play-by-play voice of the Sounds; follow him on Twitter @jeffhempbp; we'll link to his blog updates at On the Air…and Off

MiLB.TV -- for subscribers; all Nashville games, home and away, will be available to watch via MiLB.TV's $39.99 season-long package ($9.99 to pay for a single month). We imagine the audio feed is from the home team. All MiLB.TV details available at the link.

**********

Huntsville: RHP Ariel Pena at home vs. Montgomery (Rays), 6:28 PM pre-game, 6:43 gametime

Free Live Audio Link -- Select the Huntsville feed from the MiLB main audio page

Alex Cohen is the new play-by-play voice of the Stars; follow him on Twitter @alexmcohen. It's fantastic that Huntsville is returning to what will be a traditional broadcast format this year. All games, home and away, are scheduled to be broadcast.

MiLB.TV subsciption note: Huntsville road games in four locales (Mississippi, Tennessee, Jacksonville and Pensacola) will be broadcast.

**********

Brevard County: RHP Drew Gagnon at Dunedin (Blue Jays), 5:30 PM gametime

Free Live Audio Link -- Select the Tampa feed from the MiLB main audio page

Once again this season, Brevard does not have its own audio coverage. It appears two teams in the Manatees North Division (within which the majority of games are played) have audio, and all six teams in the South Division have audio (at least for their home games), so there will be opportunities to listen to approx. 70% or Brevard's games this season, just all from the opponent's perspective. There are no Florida State League games on MiLB.TV this year.

**********

Wisconsin: RHP Shaun Marcum makes his 2nd rehab start at Beloit (Twins), 6:40 PM pre-game, 7:00 gametime

Free Live Audio Link - 1280 AM WNAM

Chris Mehring is back to do his customary fantastic work as the Voice of the Rattlers. Follow him on Twitter @CMehring; we'll link to Chris' infamous blog often -- Rattler Radio.

MiLB.TV -- for subscribers; Wisconsin is one of only two (Great Lakes) Midwest League clubs that have all their home games available via MiLB.TV; Chris' call provides the audio. So for the $39.95 season-long package, fans in Brewer Nation can watch all Sounds games, all Timber Rattlers home games, and Stars' road games from four Southern League locales.

**********

Helena: TBD (likely RHP Leonard Lorenzo) at Grand Junction (Rockies), 7:50 PM pre-game, 8:05 gametime

Free Live Audio Link -- Select the Helena feed from the MiLB main audio page

We're lucky to have Steve Wendt back on board for another H-Crew season.

**********

Arizona Rookie (Maryvale): Idle

**********

DSL Brewers: at the DSL Angels, 9:30 AM, although game data won't be available until late afternoon at the earliest

Well, I've been pronouncing "Hiram" in my head wrong all this time...

Audio from Music City — “What (Hiram) Burgos Believes”

Jeff Hem's note -- Tonight’s interview is with Sounds right-hander Hiram Burgos, who posted his second straight quality start on Tuesday night (7 IP, 2 ER) and third in his four outings since joining the Sounds in late July. As of today, Burgos is 8-3 with a 2.01 ERA in 24 games this season between High-A Brevard County, Double-A Huntsville and the Sounds. He discusses his season to this point, working with pitching coach Fred Dabney again (they were together at Brevard County in ’11), what adjustments he’s made the past couple of years, who’s had the biggest influence on him as a pitcher, and his amateur days at the Puerto Rico Baseball Academy and Bethune-Cookman College (Fla.).

'Tees edged on Jays walk-off

08/15/2012 9:53 PM ET

By Frank Longobardo / Brevard County Manatees

DUNEDIN, Fla. - The Brevard County Manatees were one out of way from sending Wednesday night's game into extra innings, but the Dunedin Blue Jays had other plans as Kevin Pillar's RBI single handed the 'Tees their second straight loss as they fell 2-1 at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium.

With the game tied 1-1 heading into the bottom of the ninth, Greg Holle relieved Brevard County (28-24 second half, 57-63 overall) starter Drew Gagnon. Holle retired Justin Jackson to start the inning but then allowed a one-out walk to Kenny Wilson. Wilson then stole second and Jonathan Jones proceeded to strike out looking for the second out of the frame.

Wilson's stolen base proved costly to the 'Tees as Pillar then stepped up and singled to center to bring home Wilson and give Dunedin (27-23, 69-48) their second one-run win of the series against Brevard.

Dunedin got on the board first with a run in the bottom of the third. Marcus Knecht led off the inning with a single to left and then advanced to second on a fielding error from Nick Shaw, which allowed Jon Berti to reach first. Knecht would score two batters later on a RBI groundout off the bat of Wilson.

The one unearned run is all that the Jays would get off of Gagnon (0-2, 3.27) as he had his best outing with Brevard. He went eight strong innings and yielded just four runs. Gagnon did not walk a batter and recorded five strikeouts.

The Manatees tied the game up in the top of the seventh thanks to a two-out solo home run by Franklin Romero Jr., his first of the season. Jason Rogers went 3-for-4 and Reggie Keen added two hits as well in the loss.

Brevard County will look to salvage the series finale against the Blue Jays on Thursday night at 6:35 p.m.

Nick Bucci (1-0, 0.00) will toe the rubber for the 'Tees. Bucci has recorded 12 strikeouts in nine innings of work over two starts with Brevard.

The Blue Jays will counter with Cody Evans (0-1, 9.00). Evans gave up five runs in three innings of work in his last start against Daytona last Friday.

Box Score

You have to hand it to Drew Gagnon. He stepped up with a dominating performance against a pretty good hitting team in Dunedin. 8 IP 5 H 1 R 0 ER 0 BB 5 K 1 HBP 9:5 GO:FO for Drew. Gagnon is a perfect example of why Rookie Ball numbers do not matter. Trust the scouts down in Rookie ball. Gagnon will finish somewhere around 150 IP for the season. He has been a horse. Greg Holle walked off the Dunedin Jays mainly because of a 1-out BB.

Franklin Romero Jr. made the only BC dent with a solo shot. Jason Rogers, who seems to be getting better as he moves up the chain, went 3-4 with 3 1B and Reggie Keen added two 1B of his own along with an OF assist. Rogers has 11 homers and 10 steals on the year and a .403 OBP.

It was Nick Shaw's 19th error that led to the Gagnon run. You will see pretty low error totals across the Brewers' upper minors this year. Without looking, Shaw is among the leaders. I think Mike Walker has 20.
