Ax can come back but if he's a 8/9th guy we are in trouble next year too.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Augustine: "Roenicke said he is going to go with whatever he feels is the best matchup and what he feels best about, from here on out."

Then the Brewers are doomed, because we may as well pick the relievers with darts than let the mind of Ron Roenicke decide it.

Bogusevic at least seems that every RBI against the Brewers is of the "dagger" variety.

It's just way too typical of this year that generally sucky players can't be counted to suck against the Brewers.

I had to watch the game on espn sports cast which doesnt include pitch speed. What was Rogers putting up for number in 5, 6, 7?

wish he could get on base. ive seen him bat when he was younger. kid can hit. then again the is the majors and how often does he have batting practice.

what did he do to deserve such miserable closing? can he please get the wins he deserves.

Once Axford walked that leadoff hitter, it should have been clear to anyone watching that at best, the game was going to end up tied.

Can't wait to hear Ronny explain this one.

Before the inning started my brother texted me that as long as Ax didn't walk anyone he'd be fine. After the leadoff walk he texted game over.

Ueck said he had Henderson warmed up as well, was that right?

RR just mentioned that 'Ax had some good stats against those guys', so he's using like 15-or 20-PA samples to make big decisions. I wish I could say I was surprised.

It's the 2012 Astros. Doesn't everyone have some good stats against those guys?

Axford and Henderson were both throwing in the pen.

Axford has thrown a grand total of 14 innings against the Astros in his career, including tonight.

I think every manager should be required to take a Statistics class. I would like to introduce Roenicke to something that you learn in the first 2 weeks called "Coincidence".

Even if he has thrown the ball well against them.who cares?...he isn't the same guy in 2012......he has stunk all year.

Hopefully he can figure it out in the off season but to expect him to all of the sudden find it if just stupid....especially when Henderson has been throwing the ball great.

"K-Rod has been throwing the ball pretty well."

Is Augustine becoming senile?

Trowing da ball. And Augustine is horrible. I have no idea why they think he's necessary but he adds absolutely nothing.
