Milwaukee Bucks 2012/2013

Would the Magic have been better off just taking Bynum in return?

nope. this move was clearly aimed to be bad for a few seasons and pile up some highly drafted players (ie the okc thunder method). taking what the nets offered or just bynum would have kept the magic competitive, i don't think that is what Orlando wanted.

I don't like what the Magic did at all. Yeah they got a bunch of draft picks but I doubt any of them are going to be very high up on the board and everyone knows how difficult it is to score stars in the teens and twenties of the draft.

They will be bad enough to get some high picks for there own craptitude but I don't think that is the return they had in mind for DH.

Also put me in the camp that hopes Howard just fails miserably in LA. I would rather have MIA win going forward than LA just because of the way Howard has conducted himself.

That is a very bleak outlook on the Bucks but it is rather accurate. I am not expecting much this year from the Bucks and that probably means they play way over their heads and become a 4-6 seed. The Bucks have the talent to get in as an 8 or possibly the 7 seed. I believe the Bucks are in for another year of being average to just below average.

9th Seed here we come!

With a lame duck GM (and coach), the GM especially knowing if he misses the playoffs his job is done. Oh joy, oh joy. I can't wait to see how much of our future we trade away in hopes of garnering that 8th seed.

There isn't that much future to trade away with this team. I don't think we have a superstar in the mix. We have some really nice role players that could fill out a championship team, we just don't have the star (or stars). I don't think trading any of these guys cripples us in the future. Harris and Henson are really the only two with a chance to prove me wrong.

Great first game by Milwaukee. They went into Boston and completely had their way with them. Great team defense and hustle all around, really shocking to see. Jennings played a great game, scored 21 points and dished out 13 assist. Larry Sanders and Udrih were monsters on defense and Illyasova had great hustle the entire game. Tobias Harris played unreal as well. Scoring 18 and playing great defense on Pierce. Loved the pushing of the ball in transition to get quick shots. Yes, Ellis and Jennings will take stupid shots, however so far so good.

I've seen promising starts from this team before only to be disappointed, so I'll withhold judgement. At the same time they looked very good last night (though the Celtics looked horrible). If the young guys (Harris, Sanders) really have developed and the other pieces play well, it might be a fun season.

I think you are right on holding judgement on this team as it is going to be an up and down season with probably more downs than ups.

I'm happy to see young guys like Sanders and Udoh (and hopefully Henson when he's healthy) getting a lot more minutes than Dalembert and Gooden. It's only 2 games but they've looked a lot better so far. Actually somewhat fun to watch.

I've enjoyed watching them the first few games. I don't live in market and haven't been interested enough to pull the trigger on the league pass, but watching them on the free preview was cool. I usually just follow box scores. They have me thinking about the investment, but I think I'll just hold off for now.

It sure looks like a borderline 50 win team at this point as they have an abundance of good players. Come playoff time that will hurt them as they still don't have a superstar but over the long haul of the season they will win plenty of games.

They barely beat a team that will be lucky to win 35 games at home. Boston couldn't hit a shot on their 2nd game of a back-to-back. I'm extremely cautiously optimistic.

It helps that the Bulls won't be a 55 win team this year.

The entire division looks incredibly weak without Derrick Rose. The Pacers lost to the Bobcats on opening night. Cleveland & Detriot just aren't very good. Chicago will still be good; but maybe 45-47 wins.

If the team comes together they could easily win the division; but it is way to early to get optimistic

I too watched a lot of the league pass during the trial period, and one thing that stood out to me was the league seems to be on a much more even playing field this year. Maybe the new CBA? One of Miami, SA, LAL, or OKC will win the title, the cream rises to the top in basketball, but I think the games will be much more enjoyable this year.

That being said, I'd still be shocked if the Bucks finish above .500 this year. It's been a nice start but I think they're a lotto team.
