Royals DFA Yuni B.

Why? Honestly, why?

Why are we so hung up on ex-Brewer re-treads that for even the WORST of them, there's a 'should we bring them back?" thread when they're available?

Are we that interested in chasing 75 wins this year instead of 73 that a guy like Yuni-B becomes enticing?

PLEASE no.

agreed! I never understand whenever an ex-brewer turns up available (no matter who it is), there is a thread that follows with people actually wanting to bring them back...

Where are you guys seeing people clamoring to get him back in this thread? The closest I've seen is someone saying they'd welcome him back to provide comic relief. Not exactly a ringing endorsement and not someone who sounds like he should be brought back.

I was seriously scared when I heard Izturis was going to Washington that they'd bring him back...

Bringing back Yuni would be the only thing that would end my lifelong love affair with the Brewers. I hated the fact we had to put up with him for a year, but if melvin revisits that mistake i am walking...... Peavey archive this post and if it happens you can start my goodbye thread....

I think you've unwittingly come up with the one argument in favor of bringing Yuni back. Of course we wouldn't bring him back if we wanted to chase 75 wins instead of 73. First of all, as you're suggesting, chasing 75 wins instead of 73 is stupid. Second, signing Yuni in pursuit of marginal wins is even more stupid. But if you wanted to chase 71 wins instead of 73? Yuni's your guy. Maybe he could extend his career as a kind of situational specialist, signing on every August with some team that's angling for good draft position.

Yuni B. outrighted today. I've been pulling for him just because I'm a "root for the underdog" kinda guy and the hatred towards this poor guy bordered on irrational.

That being said, the very first comment on HBT is hilarious: "When you sign a guy expecting him to get on base 27% of the time, and he only gets on base 26% of the time, he has to go. No way around it."

I disagree. He earned it.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.
