Sunday's Daily Menu:

All times are Central

Nashville: RHP's Hiram Burgos and Seth McClung in a doubleheader at home vs. Albuquerque (Dodgers), 4:50 PM pre-game, 5:05 gametime; each contest slated for seven innings

Free Live Audio Link

Jeff Hem is the new play-by-play voice of the Sounds; follow him on Twitter @jeffhempbp; we'll link to his blog updates at On the Air…and Off

MiLB.TV -- for subscribers; all Nashville games, home and away, will be available to watch via MiLB.TV's $39.99 season-long package ($9.99 to pay for a single month). We imagine the audio feed is from the home team. All MiLB.TV details available at the link.

**********

Huntsville: TBD at home vs. Chattanooga (Dodgers), 3:48 PM pre-game, 4:03 gametime

Free Live Audio Link -- Select the Huntsville feed from the MiLB main audio page

Alex Cohen is the new play-by-play voice of the Stars; follow him on Twitter @alexmcohen. It's fantastic that Huntsville is returning to what will be a traditional broadcast format this year. All games, home and away, are scheduled to be broadcast.

MiLB.TV subsciption note: Huntsville road games in four locales (Mississippi, Tennessee, Jacksonville and Pensacola) will be broadcast.

**********

Brevard County: LHP Jed Bradley at Fort Myers (Twins), 12:05 PM gametime

Free Live Audio Link -- Select the Fort Myers feed from the MiLB main audio page

Once again this season, Brevard does not have its own audio coverage. It appears two teams in the Manatees North Division (within which the majority of games are played) have audio, and all six teams in the South Division have audio (at least for their home games), so there will be opportunities to listen to approx. 70% or Brevard's games this season, just all from the opponent's perspective. There are no Florida State League games on MiLB.TV this year.

**********

Wisconsin: RHP Jacob Barnes at Clinton (Mariners), 1:40 PM pre-game, 2:00 gametime

Free Live Audio Link - 1280 AM WNAM

Chris Mehring is back to do his customary fantastic work as the Voice of the Rattlers. Follow him on Twitter @CMehring; we'll link to Chris' infamous blog often -- Rattler Radio.

MiLB.TV -- for subscribers; Wisconsin is one of only two (Great Lakes) Midwest League clubs that have all their home games available via MiLB.TV; Chris' call provides the audio. So for the $39.95 season-long package, fans in Brewer Nation can watch all Sounds games, all Timber Rattlers home games, and Stars' road games from four Southern League locales, plus one July Helena series (11th-13th).

**********

Helena: RHP Ryan Gibbard at Billings (Reds), 2:50 PM pre-game, 3:05 gametime

Free Live Audio Link -- Select the Helena feed from the MiLB main audio page

We're lucky to have Steve Wendt back on board for another H-Crew season.

**********

Arizona Rookie (Maryvale): at the Royals' complex in Surprise; 9:00 PM gametime; never audio for games in this league

**********

DSL Brewers: at the DSL Braves, 9:30 AM, although game data won't be available until late afternoon at the earliest

Tedaldtada said:

"On a serious note, I have to get married Saturday evening. So, just reminding any relevant folks that I hope to have the next 2 nights off from Link Reporting. One night for fun and one night for putting my life back together after putting on a party for 175. My house is a monstrous pile of garbage and in-the-box home appliances and that needs to be remedied."

That was yeoman work by TC07 Saturday night, thanks so much. Let's see if we can ease the burden by having someone else step in for the Brevard County and Helena matinees today, which Tedaldtada would normally get.

If somebody's up for the late Maryvale game, great, otherwise I'll plug in Monday AM.

Thanks.

Agreed, nice work TC07. I'll get the BC game today along with Huntsville.

Today's game is where Hiram Burgos's spot in the rotation was (duh, since he's starting for Nashville...), and the starter is still listed as TBD. I have no idea if the newly-acquired trio of former Angels has joined up with Huntsville, but today would be Ariel Pena's turn on regular rest, having last pitched on Tuesday.

If it's not Pena, my guess is that it'll be Dan Merklinger or Johnnie Lowe. Merklinger last pitched on Friday (1 IP of relief work), but prior to that had a 5-day layoff. Lowe's last start came on three days' rest, so maybe a Lowe-->Merklinger piggyback outing if not Pena?

I just added this to the Transactions thread -- per the Stars' twitter account this afternoon...

ROSTER MOVES: INF Jean Segura, RHP Johnny Hellweg and RHP Ariel Pena officially added to the @HuntsvilleStars active roster.

So I think we're going to not only see Hiram Burgos making his Nashville debut today, but Ariel Pena making his debut as a Brewers player as well. I have nothing to confirm that Pena will start today, just an educated guess at this point.

That Huntsville team is loaded now. They should be favorites to win that league...assuming no one else gets a promotion.

They're currently 5 GB of North Division leaders Chattanooga (LAD), so they have work to do. But the talent at Huntsville is undeniably impressive.

Got my answer on Pena:

no, LHP @danmeadows35 will be starting tonight. Rest of rotation is still in the air. Will know more tomorrow.

So much for me making an "educated" guess. Meadows last pitched on Wednesday, just like Lowe. Not sure why I dismissed Meadows as a possibility but not Lowe. Perhaps Meadows to start with Lowe piggybacking?

Apropos of little, but I thought it was interesting that Segura's one MLB game resulted in this picture:

Hopefully not a metaphor for their careers.

Burgos was roughed up for two runs in the first inning and then K'd two in the second. Same thing happened when he made his first start in AA.

Khris Davis is on some kind of tear. 3 for 3 tonight so far. Average up .386 (yow). Realize he doesn't have many AB's but he certainly can hit. Wonder if he'll stick in the OF?

Segura with two hits now...

Even more ridiculous, Kh. Davis is batting .561 in his last 10 games. Home run and gap power could really turn him into an interesting prospect.

Burgos just struck out the side in the 6th all on swinging third strikes.
