Wow. This bullpen has become a joke! I'm glad we're so far out of the race because otherwise I'd be livid right now. As it stands I just hope we start moving some pieces for next year and beyond and maybe get to see some different arms out there.

They really should just DFA the entire bullpen with the exception of Axford, trade K-Rod and call up the AAA guys. None of them deserve to be on a big league roster.

Trade K-Rod?

That is funny right there.

I do not understand why Greinke came out of this game with 87 pitches after 7 innings, knowing full well that we have no support from our bullpen.

He should have pitched the 8th, no question about it.

Only reason I can see is if he is already traded, and our trading partner called Doug and said we've seen enough, take him out, we have a deaL!!!

Roenicke managing as if the season is over.

Who was he supposed to put in?

Every single guy in that bullpen has been a human gas can for awhile now. Roenicke has no reason to trust any pitcher in that horrific pen.

This is exactly what we will hear in the post game:

"We had a 5 run lead, Zack hasn't pitched in 10 days, I have faith in those guys, we're just not getting it done."

No one will press RR on it. They'll ask Zack if he wanted to stay in and he'll default. This is truly laughable.

Because this game doesn't matter and they didn't want to risk sending gReinke out there for another inning.

This is the ONLY thing that makes any sense to me. Sure, he hasn't pitched in 9 days.. but was he really tired after those 3 starts "in a row". He didn't throw THAT many pitches in those days.

87 pitches tonight and was absolutely cruising and gets yanked. It wouldn't be a problem if you had even a halfway decent bullpen, but the Brewers do not and it cost them the victory.

Yes, he will say that. Big deal, anyone and everyone knows the real reason is because the team knows they're trading greinke and didn't want him to get injured or blow up in the 8th.

Who cares? This season is trashed anyways. No need to lower ZG's trade value by letting him implode in the 8th. Time to start rebuilding.
