velocity looks good, which is probably most important from a health standpoint. Obviously I hope he can go 8 innings and keep it at 1 run. But if he's throwing 92-93 and goes 6 IP 3 ER (or even a little worse, so long as he doesn't get blown up) everything will be just fine.
