help! jolly good soda flavor

Menotti80
Jolly Good was the Corey Hart of soda, that's for sure. Great bargain, underrated and underappreciated. I used to love putting together my own case with a hodge-podge of varieties. Beside the aforementioned cream soda, my personal favorite was the cherry soda. It's a crying shame that you can still find Faygo products in nearly every grocery store, but Jolly Good is no more.

But jolly good was steady and consistent

Not necessarily. I always felt that the cola left something to be desired. I thought that the orange wasn't quite up to the level of Crush either. At the same time, there were quite a few 'home runs' in their cornucopia of flavors.

I think Woodman's might have Jolly Good. You should make a run, hawing, since I don't have one within 90 minutes of me.

If it has been produced in the last decade, it's at Woodman's. I actually recall seeing a five year old bottle of DFH 120 minute IIPA on the shelf there. Boy must that be a stale IIPA!

Jolly Good Soda takes me back to elementary school, when it was almost always the soda provided for field trips, probably because of the price. We didn't drink a lot of soda at home but I loved getting Jolly Good Grape Soda when I would be at a friend's house.

Might have been New York Seltzer, that is ringing a bell. Maybe I'm thinking about a knock-off of NYS that came out after NYS reached it's peak, maybe NYS went to plastic in their later years. I know it wasn't Clearly Canadian or anything else that anyone has mentioned.

Retro and oddball soda fans may find this interesting:

www.sodapopstop.com

It's the online home of a Los Angeles store that I saw several years ago on Unwrapped.

They claim to have the largest selection of sodas around.

I can't see ordering soda online to have it shipped to my house, but it is fun to see what products are still being made.

50/50 is definitely still available...at least in the Stevens Point area.

Was the soda-flavored water you are referring to New York Seltzer? I used to love those when I was a kid.

On a separate note, does anyone remember the PB Maxx candy bar? In my opinion those were the best candy bars of all time.

The Pig in Delavan always has it stocked.
