Bay Beach Amusement Park

Recommended Posts

Back in the 90s we started going there, driving 90 miles, every summer for 8 or 9 years. It's a great day for young kids, rides for all ages, have a picnic lunch etc. Most years we stayed overnight and went to the NEW(Northeast Wisconsin) zoo 20 miles or so north of Green Bay. It's a nice sized zoo for younger ones. There's a nice wildlife sanctuary about a 1/4 mile away from the rides at Bay Beach that we always stopped at too.

Been there MANY times, and it is most definitley geared toward the little ones. Lots of rides, and dirt cheap for the little kids rides, most are .25 each!!! There is also a little swimming pool which is awesome for the little ones you have. Free parking too!

Took my family there 2 weeks ago, I have a 14 and 16 year old now. We went for nostalgia sakes, but they still had a good time.

They added the Zippin' Pippin' rollercoaster that Elvis once rented out a couple years ago. That one was 4 tickets ($1.00) and probably a little too rough for a 3 and 5 year old, in fact, I don't think they would be allowed on it anyway.

With a 3 and 5 year old, you could easily spend 3 or 4 hours there and not have to spend a fortune.

I went last year with my 2 & 4 year olds. Brought lunch, spent $20 on tickets and they rode for hours. There is also a giant playground in the park, on which we spent a good deal of time.

Everyone had a blast, we'll be back later this summer.

Make sure you take a bunch of Purell with you as the park has a severe rat/mouse infestation. Look up Bay Beach time lapse (something close) and you will see a night vision video of thousands upon thousands of pests moving around the rides. The City of Green Bay has started a "birds of prey" program in the area just to help fix the issue.

I have taken my one year old a few times and he loves it and it only costs me $.25 a ride. Feel free to also pack a lunch and eat at one of the picnic tables. As mentioned there is also the wildlife sanctuary which is free.

Don't know where you're located but both Appleton and Green Bay have children's museums:

We went to the one in GB once and it was nice but it looks like it has moved. We took the kids to the Appleton one 4 or 5 times and they really enjoyed it. Again, this was in the 90s.
