There are currently 17 teams with a reasonable chance at getting one of the 8 playoff spots (within 3 games).

The Brewers are not one of those 17 teams.

There are 20 teams that are either have a winning record or have a > 15% chance at a playoff berth.

The Brewers are not one of those 20 teams.

Even if the Brewers win the next 5 games and finish their 7-2 stretch, they will still not be one of those 20 teams.

Gomez batting #2 against a RHP. Must mean either our manager has made yet another boneheaded decision or Morgan is traded.

or he really likes that gomez had 2 hits against a rhp yesterday and wants to play the hot bat. just ignore the last 5 years of data and pick the one recent game that matches your hunch. "the Roenicke Way". Sorta like winning with honor or whatever the penn state moto was (except the whole raping children in the shower thing).

You guys must not follow very closely? Morgan hasn't hit a lick, even against RHP, so why not play the better defender more.

Vs. RHP

Gomez: .736 ops

Morgan: .576 ops

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

See the post above about ignoring the last 5 years of data.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

When you are talking about two mediocre players I have no problems basing playing time decisions on recent performance. Now if he had a superstar that was having a bad month and decided to sub him out often then I have an issue. As it is we are talking about Gomez and Morgan; neither of whom are very good. Besides 5 years is an eternity in baseball; a player can be completely different over that span and I don't know how much sense it makes to make any decision based on 5 year splits (especially if the player on the wrong side of the development cycle)

I'm ok with him ringing him up..............

That was pretty close, not nearly as obvious as Bill and Brian would have you believe. He probably should've asked for help.

I'm okay with it too, but if that had happened that way to Braun, I'd be pretty steamed.
