Brevard County: LHP Jed Bradley at home vs. Clearwater (Phillies), 5:35 PM gametime

Sorry, no audio for this series...

Once again this season, Brevard does not have its own audio coverage. It appears two teams in the Manatees North Division (within which the majority of games are played) have audio, and all six teams in the South Division have audio (at least for their home games), so there will be opportunities to listen to approx. 70% or Brevard's games this season, just all from the opponent's perspective. There are no Florida State League games on MiLB.TV this year.

Wisconsin: RHP Matt Miller at home vs. Kane County (Royals), 6:15 PM pre-game, 6:35 gametime

Does Hunter Morris force his way to AAA this year?

He's certainly been a bright spot in a frustrating (big-league) 2012. While guys like Halton and Rogers certainly aren't scrubs, I'd hope Morris wouldn't be blocked by either of them. Morris has not only hit well this season, he's shown strides in his plate discipline... and oh yeah, he's been one of the Southern League's best all season.

Oh fuuuuudge, Wily Peralta just came out of the game for Nashville after taking a line drive off his leg. It looked like it got him square. The ball ricocheted all the way in to foul territory. He was pitching another really good ball game up until that point. Only gave up one unearned run, and not much was hit real hard (well, until that liner). He also helped himself at the plate with a pair of walks and a safety squeeze bunt for an RBI.

May be just a coincidence, but I noticed Peralta's last three starts which have all been pretty good, have been caught by Dayton Buller. The one before that when he struggled had Jaramillo behind the plate. Also, no Logan Schafer after he left last night's game with a thumb injury. Caleb Gindl started for him in CF.

Final: Kane County 5, Wisconsin 1

Cougars spoil Rattlers return home

By Chris Mehring / Wisconsin Timber Rattlers

GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers were looking forward to a home game after a rough six-game road trip to Iowa. But, Angel Baez and the Kane County Cougars wrecked the Wisconsin return to Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium with a 5-1 win over the home team. Baez struck out five over six innings and sent the Rattlers to their third straight loss.

Kane County (44-42 overall, 10-6 second half) got off to a fast start with a first inning run. Rattlers starting pitcher Matt Miller hit Justin Trapp to start the game. Trapp stole second and went to third on a single by Jack Lopez. A sacrifice fly by Daniel Mateo got Trapp home for a 1-0 Cougars lead.

The Cougars made it 3-0 in the top of the third inning. Daniel Mateo drew a bases loaded walk to force in a run. Miller got Jorge Bonifacio to ground into a 6-4-3 double play that let in another run.

Cameron Garfield, who had two hits in the game, put Wisconsin (51-34, 7-9) on the board with a two-out solo home run in the bottom of the fourth inning. But, that was the only run the Timber Rattlers would get.

A two-run homer by Alex Llanos in the top of the sixth inning had padded the Kane County lead.

Baez turned the ball over to the Cougars bullpen to start the seventh and a pair of Kane County relievers held the Rattlers off the scoreboard over the final three innings to maintain the lead and eventually close out the game. The trio of Cougars pitchers held Wisconsin to four hits in the game.

Game two of the series is Sunday afternoon. Fond du Lac native Chad Pierce (2-3, 4.45) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Timber Rattlers. Kane County has Bryan Brickhouse (1-0, 5.14) as their scheduled starter. Game time is 1:05pm.

The first 500 fans to attend the game will receive a magnet from Lamers Bus Lines of former Timber Rattler - and current Toronto Blue Jay - Brett Lawrie. This is magnet #2 in a series of four that are being given away during the 2012 season.

Before the game fans can play catch on-field courtesy of American Eagle. Timber Rattlers players will be available for an autograph session after the game. Time Warner Cable customers can receive up to four half-priced reserved bleacher tickets when showing their TWC bill at time of ticket purchase.

As part of 107.5, The Fan Brewers Sunday, Rattlers players will be wearing Brewers-themed jerseys on-field during the game.

If you can't make it out to the game on Sunday, tune in for the broadcast on AM1280, WNAM or timberrattlers.com. The Miller Lite Pregame Show begins at 12:45pm. Sunday's game is also available to subscribers of MiLB.TV.

AZ Brew Crew with an offensive explosion tonight

Wow, that's a nice little first inning. Kinda fun to be on the other side of that for once. Any time you can get three at bats in an inning, things are going good.

Brevard wins on walk-off walk

07/07/2012 9:52 PM ET

By Frank Longobardo / Brevard County Manatees

VIERA, Fla. - A bases-loaded walk drawn by Joey Paciorek capped off an improbable rally in the bottom of the ninth as the Brevard County Manatees defeated the Clearwater Threshers, 2-1 on Saturday night at Space Coast Stadium.

Down 1-0 heading into the bottom of the ninth, Nick Shaw led the inning off for Brevard (10-6 second half, 39-45 overall) with a base hit to center field off the new Clearwater (8-6, 45-38) pitcher Hector Neris. Jason Rogers then singled through the hole on the left side of the infield to put two on with no outs.

Brock Kjeldgaard would then tie the game with a check-swing, line drive single to right on a 1-1 pitch. Now with first base open, the Threshers intentionally walked Mike Walker to set up a force at home. John Dishon came on as a pinch runner for Rogers at third base.

Clearwater got what they needed and more with the intentional walk as Hector Gomez grounded into a 1-2-3 double play as the game remained tied, now with two outs and runners on second and third. Cody Hawn was then intentionally walked to set up the force out at any base.

Joey Pacoriek, who had already struck out two times, stepped up to the plate. Pacoriek worked a 2-2 count and then took what looked to be strike three as Clearwater catcher Cameron Rupp popped up from behind the plate and started walking towards the dugout.

Home plate umpire Ryan Clark did not agree with Rupp's assumption as it was a called a ball and it was now a full count. Neris' next pitch was inside to Pacoriek for ball four as Kjeldgaard came home for the winning run on a walk-off walk. The win was just the second time this season that the Manatees have won a game after trailing for six, seven or eight innings.

Jed Bradley (5-7, 4.55) got the start on the mound for Brevard and his only hiccup was a solo homer that he allowed to Drew Hillman with one out in the second inning. The southpaw went seven strong innings and yielded three hits and three walks, while fanning three. The Manatees have now gotten five straight quality starts from their pitching staff and 11 of 17 overall to begin the second half of the season.

Seth Harvey earned the win in relief as he struck out four in two innings of work, while allowing just one hit. Offensively for the 'Tees, Keen led the way as he went 2-for-4 and stole his 29th base of the season. Before their rally in the ninth inning, Brevard managed just four hits and struck out ten times against the Clearwater duo of starter Adam Morgan and reliever Mike Nesseth.

Brevard County and Clearwater will play game two of their three-game series on Sunday evening at 5:05 p.m. The Manatees' starting pitcher has yet to be determined, while the Threshers will send Brody Colvin (4-4, 4.25) to the mound.

Box Score

Jed Bradley was very good in this one pretty much dominating besides a solo homer in the 2nd. 7 IP 3 H 1 R 1 ER 3 BB 3 K 1 HR 9:3 GO:FO. Seth Harvey was even more dominate with 4 K in 2 scoreless IP.

The hitters saved their fireworks for the bottom of the 9th. The game story lays out that situation, including a ton of 9th inning coaching from Clearwater, pretty clearly.

Reggie Keen (2-4 2B SB (29)) was the top hitter, in both lineup and production. Hector Gomez has been awful thus far, in the field and at the plate.

Game Log

5 line outs for Bradley.

The 9th.

Brevard County Bottom of the 9th

Pitcher Change: Hector Neris replaces Mike Nesseth.

Offensive Substitution: Pinch runner John Dishon replaces Jason Rogers.

Hector Neris intentionally walks Cody Hawn.

Joey Paciorek walks. Brock Kjeldgaard scores. Mike Walker to 3rd. Cody Hawn to 2nd.

Helena 8 Missoula (D'Backs) 1

Box Score

Very solid win all around for the H-Crew. The pitchers were not scored upon until the 9th inning. Tyler Wagner made a successful 1 inning start. Preston Gainey followed with 2 scoreless and 3 K. Brent Suter came on in the 4th and was fantastic recording 16 outs and giving up only 1 run. Martin Viramontes recorded the final 2 outs via the K wrapping up a well pitched game for the Helena kids.

The bats scored 7 in the final 2 innings as they were tardy in heating up. Better late then never. Michael Reed (1-4 3B BB), Alfredo Rodriguez (3-4 BB) and Chris McFarland (2-4 2B BB) were loud at the top of the order. Emmanuel Quiles (3-4 2B BB), new 3B Mike Nemeth (1-3 2 BB) and Raul Mondesi Jr. (1-2 2 BB SAC) showed patience and potency in the middle-bottom of the order.

Despite 10 singles and 8 walks, the Brewers attempted 0 steals. Strange for this bunch.

The cagey Suter picked off 2 Osprey.
