2012-07-03 Marlins (Sanchez) at Brewers (Estrada), 3:10 PM CDT [Brewers win, insanely, 13-12, 10 innings]

WOW!
There are three things America will be known for 2000 years from now when they study this civilization: the Constitution, jazz music and baseball. They're the three most beautifully designed things this culture has ever produced. Gerald Early

Despite the 2 run bomb, I have a good feeling about today's game, When I went to bed yesterday down 2 runs I had a feeling too that they were going to pull it out and they did. I smell a walkoff coming.

just in case everyone was looking for someone to blame for their blood pressure spike the past hour or so.

And we're still alive! Drink up Lake Michigan and get rehydrated boys, another battle tomorrow!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I'll say this. Things have been bad, real bad. But there is no quit in these guys. They might not be overly talented top to bottom but they do give it. At the end of the day, that's all we can ask.

Hey they pulled it out. That's all that counts. Weeks might be coming around. Hart looks like he might start a tear. Ramirez is looking like a better sign than I thought. Lucroy should be back in a few weeks. Ransom is contributing too. Time to play Gomez regularly.

Woah, doctor. Nice that they pulled it out, I guess, but gawd almighty, I hope Wednesday's game is shorter. We're bringing some of my family, including a 7-year-old niece who's not that much into baseball.

Just wow.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I'll remember this one forever if only because of what I didn't see.

Left home with the Brewers just having taken the lead. Drive to neighboring town. Hear about the 6th inning explosion just as I'm going into the pool. Don't give the game a second thought. Get back in the car after TWO HOURS and the game is still going. Ueck didn't give the score until after the Reyes error, but I KNEW just from listening what had happened. Then I get hom just in time to see Aoki just miss and everything that followed. Unreal.

Sure we won but it is not good that our bullpen blew a 7 run lead. I guess some people can feel good about winning like that. I don't. I care about winning in the long run. I always hope we can get back into the race and go to the playoffs but this win does nothing to make me think we have a good team.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

It makes me think Melvin(or his dark overlord) will look at this game and think all we need is a bullp[en arm and we are right in this thing when in reality we are a very flawed team with a lot of ground to make up.

I was trying to think of what this game would have looked like if it was basketball instead of baseball.

I think it would be something like having your team blow a 20 point lead with 4 minutes to play. Going into overtime....being down 1 with 2 seconds to go and making a half court shot at the buzzer to win.

Ps. RRR just said "We need to get our bullpen straightened out. These guys are really good pitchers....I hope they haven't lost confidence because they are really good"

They can't all be pretty 6-2 wins. You need some ugly wins too, lord knows we've had ugly losses. Does that mean I think this team is suddenly a contender? No. But I will enjoy every win, and this one moreso than most.
