Alex Cohen is the new play-by-play voice of the Stars; follow him on Twitter @alexmcohen. It's fantastic that Huntsville is returning to what will be a traditional broadcast format this year. All games, home and away, are scheduled to be broadcast.

MiLB.TV subsciption note: Huntsville road games in four locales (Mississippi, Tennessee, Jacksonville and Pensacola) will be broadcast.

**********

Brevard County: RHP Brooks Hall at Clearwater (Phillies), 6:00 PM gametime

Sorry, no audio for this series...

Once again this season, Brevard does not have its own audio coverage. It appears two teams in the Manatees North Division (within which the majority of games are played) have audio, and all six teams in the South Division have audio (at least for their home games), so there will be opportunities to listen to approx. 70% or Brevard's games this season, just all from the opponent's perspective. There are no Florida State League games on MiLB.TV this year.

**********

Wisconsin: RHP Chad Pierce at Quad Cities (Cardinals), 5:40 PM pre-game, 6:00 gametime

Free Live Audio Link - 1280 AM WNAM

Chris Mehring is back to do his customary fantastic work as the Voice of the Rattlers. Follow him on Twitter @CMehring; we'll link to Chris' infamous blog often -- Rattler Radio.

MiLB.TV -- for subscribers; Wisconsin is one of only two (Great Lakes) Midwest League clubs that have all their home games available via MiLB.TV; Chris' call provides the audio. So for the $39.95 season-long package, fans in Brewer Nation can watch all Sounds games, all Timber Rattlers home games, and 24 Stars' road games (one Helena series this summer, too).

Helena: LHP Will West at home vs. Great Falls (White Sox), 7:50 PM pre-game, 8:05 gametime

As the thread title currently indicates, Mark Rogers likes Greer Stadium. The rest of the PCL parks, not so much (splits here).

You read the Menu correctly. This is one of only two day games the Maryvale squad will play all year (the other is tomorrow, the 4th).

Final: Wisconsin 5, Quad Cities 7

Quad Cities beats Rattlers 7-5 in series finale

Teams split season series 7-7

By Chris Mehring / Wisconsin Timber Rattlers

DAVENPORT, IA - The Quad Cities River Bandits built a 6-1 lead and held off the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers for a 7-5 victory on Tuesday night at Modern Woodmen Park. The Bandits scored twice in the fourth and four times in the fifth inning to erase a 1-0 Wisconsin lead. The Rattlers rallied to pull to within a run, but they could not close the gap.

Lance Roenicke started the game with a double for Wisconsin (50-31 overall, 6-6 second half) in the top of the first inning. One out later Mitch Haniger blooped a single into right and Roenicke scored for a 1-0 Timber Rattlers lead.

Wisconsin starter Chad Pierce walked Bandits third baseman Stephen Piscotty with one out in the fourth inning. Garcia blasted the next pitch over the wall in left-center and the Bandits (43-38, 8-4) led 2-1.

Then, Quad Cities sent nine men to the plate in the fifth inning and scored four times off Pierce. There were two runners on with one out when Matt Williams doubled in a run. After a hit batsman loaded the bases, Piscotty doubled in two more runs. An RBI grounder by David Medina put the Bandits up 6-1.

Wisconsin came storming back in the top of the seventh. Brandon Macias and Haniger drew walks to start the inning. Ben McMahan drove in Macias with a single. Then, Nick Ramirez crushed a three-run home run to right-center and Wisconsin pulled to within a run at 6-5.

The Bandits took advantage of a rare Wisconsin error in the sixth inning to score a run. There was a runner at first with no outs against Wisconsin reliever Tyler Cravy. He got a grounder to short that was mishandled and the runner who would have been out at second scooted to third. An RBI grounder by Casey Rasmus knocked in that unearned run for a 7-5 lead.

Both teams threatened to score after that, but the bullpens held and 7-5 was the final.

Friday's game was the final meeting of the regular season between the teams. The Rattlers and River Bandits split the 14 game series as each recorded seven wins.

Wisconsin begins a three game series at Cedar Rapids on Wednesday evening. David Goforth (5-2, 5.24) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Timber Rattlers. Cedar Rapids has Dan Reynolds (0-3, 3.25) as their scheduled starter. Game time is 5:05pm. Tune in for the broadcast on AM1280, WNAM starting with the Miller Lite Pregame Show at 4:45pm.

HOME RUNS:

WIS: Nick Ramirez (6th, 2 on in 6th inning, off Robert Stock, 0 out)

QC: Anthony Garcia (10th, 1 on in 4th inning off Chad Pierce, 1 out)

WP: Robert Stock (5-0)

LP: Chad Pierce (2-3)

SAVE: Heath Wyatt (13)

TIME: 2:51

ATTN: 7,380

Wisconsin Box Score

Chad Pierce had another rough start for the Rattlers. He's really struggled since the end of May. Pierce gave up six runs in five innings and took the loss. The six runs were all earned and came on six hits and three walks. Tyler Cravy pitched the next two innings and allowed one unearned run. Michael Strong pitched a scoreless eighth and struck out two.

Nick Ramirez belted his sixth home run of the season, a three run blast. Mitch Haniger was on base three times with a single, double, and a walk. He also scored a run and knocked in one. Rafael Neda and Lance Roenicke each had two hits. Roenicke got caught stealing again which makes him 0 for 3 since joing the Rattlers. Chadwin Stang was on base three times with a hit and a pair of walks. Yadiel Rivera made his ninth error of the season. Greg Hopkins was out again after being hit in the face the other night. Based on this picture he tweeted it looks like he could miss a couple more games yet. Hopefully he will be back soon.

Brevard downed late by Clearwater

07/03/2012 9:53 PM ET

By Frank Longobardo / Brevard County Manatees

CLEARWATER, Fla. - The Brevard County Manatees finished their six-game road trip 2-4 as they lost to the Clearwater Threshers, 5-1 on Tuesday night. For the second night in a row, the Threshers used a big inning to beat the 'Tees as they scored four in the seventh to break a 1-1 tie.

Manatees starting pitcher Brooks Hall (3-3, 4.04) gave Brevard a quality start as he threw six innings and allowed one run on three hits. Hall did walk a batter for the first time in a start this season and fanned three. The only run that Hall gave up came in the fourth as Peter Lavin led off the inning with a solo shot to right.

Brevard County (7-5 second half, 36-44 overall) tied the game up right away in the top of the fifth. Franklin Romero Jr. led the inning off with a single to center and then stole second base. Two batters later, Nick Shaw drove in Romero Jr. with a single to center to make it a 1-1 game.

Shaw then stole second and then Jason Rogers drew a walk as the 'Tees had runners at first and second with one out. Brevard County would get nothing else in the inning as Mike Walker grounded out and Brock Kjeldgaard struck out to end the threat.

The game remained tied 1-1 heading into the bottom of the seventh, as Greg Holle came on for Hall. Holle led the inning off by hitting Drew Hillman and then Jim Murphy reached on a throwing error by shortstop Hector Gomez, which also allowed him to advance to second and Hillman to third.

Zach Collier then broke the tie with a single to center that plated Hillman and Murphy. Anthony Hewitt then drove in Collier with a double to left to make it 4-1 in favor of the Threshers (7-6, 43-36). Hewitt scored two batters later on a Harold Martinez groundout.

Jason Rogers was the only Manatee with a multi-hit evening as he went 2-for-3 with two doubles. Parker Berberet reached base twice as he was 1-for-3 with a walk.

Brevard County will return to Space Coast Stadium on Wednesday to open a six-game homestand. The 'Tees will welcome the Tampa Yankees to Viera to open a three-game set on the 4th of July at 6:35 p.m.

The Manatees will send Andy Moye (4-0, 4.32) to the mound against the Yanks. Moye is looking for his third consecutive win and to improve to 5-0 this season. Moye's last start was against Tampa this past Friday and he allowed two runs in six innings of work.

Box Score

Life is tough on the road. Luckily the 'Tees come home for six starting tomorrow.

Jason Rogers (2-3 2 2B BB) is just mashing FSL pitching right now. Space Coast Stadium, home of the BC Manatees, is particularly tough on left-handers so the right-handed Rogers may be able to use that to his advantage, or something. New guy SS Hector Gomez went 0-4 and his struggling to find his footing for the Sea Cows (.071 batting average).

6'5" 200 pound Brooks Hall probably made his best start of the season. 6 IP 3 H 1 R 1 ER 0 BB 3 K 1 HR 5:6 GO:FO. He has the ERA down to 4.06 but still sports a gross 32:26 K:BB in 55.2 IP. Greg Holle, with a little help from Hector Gomez, gave up the big inning and lost it for the Manatees.

Game Log

I wonder if it was one of the those-get-me-over 1st pitch FB strikes that got crushed?

Clearwater Bottom of the 4th

Peter Lavin homers (4) on a line drive to right field.

Drew Hillman pops out to first baseman Jason Rogers.

Jim Murphy grounds out, third baseman Mike Walker to first baseman Jason Rogers.

Zach Collier grounds out to first baseman Jason Rogers.

BC had lots of chances over the first half of the game.

Great Falls (White Sox) 10 Helena 5

Box Score

Will West got the opening gig and he was not bad. 6 IP 6 H 3 R 3 ER 3 BB 5 K 9:0 GO:FO. This was by far his most successful start n the year for Helena. Martin Viramontes and Connor Whalen got lit up in the top of the 9th. A Chris McFarland error and some misplayed fly balls (due to sun AND wind) were major parts of the problem.

In the bottom of the 9th, during a Ruben Ozuna AB, an Osprey was spotted above the field in Helena. Soon after, Ruben Ozuna took a BB when suddenly two very attention starved rabbits appeared in foul territory. After a few more pitches, and the beginning of a hunting effort in the Great Falls dugout, the rabbits made their way onto the infield. The rabbit delay lasted 268 seconds (I made that up, but it's approximate) and soon after the ballgame was over. (crunch, crunch, crunch, that's all folks!)

The Brewers sprayed out 13 hits but scored only 5 runs. Michael Garza (4-4 3B 2 SB (3)) is on fire and missed a HR by about a foot on a drive off the wall. This kid swings at a lot of 1st pitch FB's. Michael Reed (2-5 SB) was good but it could have been better as he was robbed of hit by a nice play. C Michael Turay (3-4 2B) is off to a very nice start in part-time catcher duty. The glut of catchers is starting to gum up the works a bit in the lower levels. Turay and Emmanuel Quiles have been great on offense and defense and each should probably be playing more. Wall-battered Ruben Ozuna (1-3 2B BB SB) was productive in the 9-hole.

Game Log

Dude.

Helena Bottom of the 4th

Michael Reed singles on a line drive to left fielder Yoandy Barroso.

Mike Garza triples (2) on a line drive to center fielder Adam Heisler. Michael Reed scores.

Michael Nemeth lines out to third baseman Thomas McCarthy.

Adam Giacalone lines out to first baseman Abe Ruiz.

See game log.

Helena Bottom of the 9th

Pitcher Change: Brett Merkley replaces Chris Beck.

Ruben Ozuna walks.

Alfredo Rodriguez strikes out swinging.

With Christopher McFarland batting, wild pitch by Brett Merkley, Ruben Ozuna to 2nd.

Christopher McFarland strikes out swinging.
