Alex Cohen is the new play-by-play voice of the Stars; follow him on Twitter @alexmcohen. It's fantastic that Huntsville is returning to what will be a traditional broadcast format this year. All games, home and away, are scheduled to be broadcast.

MiLB.TV subsciption note: Huntsville road games in four locales (Mississippi, Tennessee, Jacksonville and Pensacola) will be broadcast.

**********

Brevard County: RHP Andy Moye at Tampa (Yankees), 6:00 PM gametime

Sorry, no audio for this series...

Once again this season, Brevard does not have its own audio coverage. It appears two teams in the Manatees North Division (within which the majority of games are played) have audio, and all six teams in the South Division have audio (at least for their home games), so there will be opportunities to listen to approx. 70% or Brevard's games this season, just all from the opponent's perspective. There are no Florida State League games on MiLB.TV this year.

**********

Wisconsin: RHP David Goforth at home vs. Peoria (Cubs), 6:45 PM pre-game, 7:05 gametime

Free Live Audio Link - 1280 AM WNAM

Chris Mehring is back to do his customary fantastic work as the Voice of the Rattlers. Follow him on Twitter @CMehring; we'll link to Chris' infamous blog often -- Rattler Radio.

MiLB.TV -- for subscribers; Wisconsin is one of only two (Great Lakes) Midwest League clubs that have all their home games available via MiLB.TV; Chris' call provides the audio. So for the $39.95 season-long package, fans in Brewer Nation can watch all Sounds games, all Timber Rattlers home games, and 24 Stars' road games (one Helena series this summer, too).

**********

Helena: RHP Michael Schaub at Missoula (Diamondbacks), 7:50 PM pre-game, 8:05 gametime

Free Live Audio Link -- Select the Helena feed from the MiLB main audio page

We're lucky to have Steve Wendt back on board for another H-Crew season.

**********

Arizona Rookie (Maryvale): at home vs. the baby Athletics; 9:00 PM gametime; never audio for games in this league

**********

DSL Brewers: at home vs. the DSL Angels, 9:30 AM, although game data won't be available until late afternoon at the earliest

Brewers extend PDC with Manatees through 2014

By Frank Longobardo / Brevard County Manatees

VIERA, Fla. - The Milwaukee Brewers have announced that they are extending their player development contract (PDC) with the Brevard County Manatees of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League through the 2014 season.

"General Manager Kyle Smith and his front office have made the Manatees a great stepping stone for our Major League hopefuls," said Reid Nichols, Brewers Special Assistant to the General Manager/Director of Player Development/Training Center. "This is a working relationship that we hope to continue for many years."

The Manatees, located in Viera, Fla., are owned and operated by Central Florida Baseball Group, LLC. Brevard County has had a PDC with Milwaukee since 2005. Previously, the Manatees were affiliated with the Florida Marlins from 1994-2001 and the Montreal Expos from 2002-2004.

"The Manatees are very pleased to continue their PDC with a first class organization like the Milwaukee Brewers," said Kyle Smith. "The way the Brewers' front office treats their players, coaches and affiliates is unparalleled."

A total of 27 players have made a stop at Brevard County on their way to up through the Brewers' minor league ranks before reaching the Major Leagues with the Brewers.

Seven of those players - RHP John Axford (2008-09), RHP Tim Dillard (2005), RHP Yovani Gallardo (2006), 1B Mat Gamel (2007, 2010), C Jonathan Lucroy (2008), LHP Manny Parra (2006) and 2011 National League MVP LF Ryan Braun (2006) - were on Milwaukee's 2012 Opening Day roster.

One day after this article we featured in the Stars' thread, we see this:

Via the Huntsville twitter feed --

A little change up for the Stars lineup tonight...Josh Prince will start at SS. Juan Sanchez to start in CF.

***

They've teased us with this before, we'll see if the change is permanent. You figure Hector Gomez is going to need to see AA soon.

Not sure how many of his career 28 HR's are captured on video, so I was sure to tweet this to Dayton Buller as he homered twice Wednesday.

Wow, turns out we're able to capture both Dayton Buller home runs on video -- and this second one has quite the story behind it, as you'll see when you watch the two minute-plus clip.

"If that ball is fair, it's so far gone it's unbelievable"

Nashville's Dayton Buller launches his second home run of the game in the seventh inning of the Sounds' 4-0 Wednesday win over Round Rock

Audio from Round Rock — “What Wily (Peralta) Thinks”

Jeff Hem's note -- Tonight’s interview is with Sounds right-hander Wily Peralta, thought by many to be the Brewers’ top prospect. He discusses his outing and win on Wednesday night in Round Rock when he left due to leg cramping, his up-and-down season so far, what he’s been working on between starts and the emotions during his major league debut in April for Milwaukee.

Michael Reed just crashed into and over a concrete wall and metal railing after making a sensational catch in foul territory. The trainers had to come out after he was unable to climb back over. After about 20 seconds, he climbed over and play resumed. He was seen stretching his right leg soon after. He gingerly jogged into the dugout after the inning.

I would not be surprised if he makes an early exit.

Brevard County 9 Tampa (Yankees) 5

Box Score

The Manatees got the organization off to a good start. They seem revitalized.

Andy Moye was great after a 1st inning homer that he yielded to Slade Heathcott. He finished 6 IP 4 H 2 R 2 ER 2 BB 2 K 1 HR 1 HBP 9:5 GO:FO. Wild Thomas Keeling was next and he had a tough night. Walks were not the problem for Thomas at least. His progression in that department makes me very optimistic we will see the big power lefty working 7th and 8th innings in Milwaukee someday. Greg Holle worked a scoreless 8th and Casey Medlen, with a big lead, stumbled through the 9th before closing out the win.

Stop me if you have heard this before. The star hitters were T.J. Mittelstaedt (3-5 2B 2 SB (14)) and Jason Rogers (3-4 HR BB). Mike Walker and Brock Kjeeldgaard each had a hit and BB. Cody Hawn and Shea Vucinich each had 2 hits.

Helena Quick Hits:

Shaub is throwing almost all fastballs, but they are effective because the pitch has crazy movement.

Mondesi Jr. has some very good wheels. In fact, he just might be a top 5-ish 5 tool prospect in the Milwaukee system.

Reed is clearly favoring his right leg after that catch 'n crash. (He did run a dropped 3rd strike very hard. Almost beat it.)

More defensive prowess praise for Alfredo Rodriguez.

I know I've mentioned this before, but I'm calling dibs on this one --

Andy Moye is Mike Fiers.

15th round pick, 22nd round pick, both drafted much closer to 24 years old than 23.

Moye moved to 7-0 between two levels tonight. Compare the two side by side, it's not a perfect match, but just keep those peripherals strong, and we'll see you contributing in Miller Park in two years, Andy.

Brevard's bats bounce Yanks

06/29/2012 10:40 PM ET

By Frank Longobardo / Brevard County Manatees

TAMPA, Fla. - The Brevard County Manatees pounded out 14 hits and helped starting pitcher Andy Moye improve to 4-0 as the 'Tees topped the Tampa Yankees, 9-5 on Friday night at George M. Steinbrenner Field.

Moye (4-0, 4.32) went six innings and allowed two runs - both earned - on four hits. He walked two and struck out two as his pitching line was exactly the same as the line of his last start, which was a win against Dunedin last Saturday.

The 'Tees (6-2 second half, 35-41 overall) gave Moye run support early as Brevard plated two runs in the top of the first, thanks to a two-run home run by Jason Rogers. The homer was Rogers' first as a Manatee and was also his first extra-base hit with Brevard County.

Up 3-1 after four innings, Brevard put the game out of reach in the fifth with a couple of clutch two-out hits. Cody Hawn drove in T.J. Mittelstaedt and Mike Walker with a single to left field. Then two batters later, Shea Vucinich drove in Hawn and Brock Kjeldgaard with a two-RBI double that gave the Manatees a 7-1 lead.

Tampa (4-4, 34-41) cut Brevard's lead to 7-4 heading into the ninth, but the Manatees' offense wasn't done as Walker and Hawn each had two-out RBI singles to give the 'Tees a 9-4 advantage. Seven of Brevard County's nine RBI on Friday came with two outs and the 'Tees were 6-for-14 with runners in scoring position.

Mittelstaedt and Rogers led the way at the plate with three hits each. Mittelstaedt also scored three times and stole two bases. Hawn and Vucinich each had two hits, with Hawn having a game-high three RBI.

The rubber game of Brevard County's three-game series with Tampa will be on Saturday at 6:00 p.m.

Drew Gagnon will get his first start for the Manatees, since being promoted from Class-A Wisconsin. Gagnon was a Midwest League mid-season All-Star with the Timber Rattlers as he went 6-1 with a 2.83 ERA in 14 starts.
