Loe I'm sorry but ok, giving up the one on a single ground ball up the middle fine but to not bare down and get the next out and give up a screaming double to cf to tie it?

You're right.. all it took was for Loe to bare down a little harder to get the out.

If he can't than he shouldnt be in the majors.

So does the "he can't bare down" argument work every time a pitcher gives up runs? After all, it only takes a little more concentration to get outs in MLB. Nothing about facing the best hitters or concentrating yet not executing, etc..

It's games like this that led Paul Simon to pen the immortal lyrics 'Where have you gone Takashi Saito? Brewer Nation turns its lonely eyes to you."

I decided to read this IGT just 'cause. I'd like to thank you for ensuring it was worth my time.

Wolf has certainly been disappointing this year, but man our bullpen has really been a let down. They are finally getting starting pitching and plenty of runs, but this bullpen keeps letting them down. 7, 8, 9 really looked locked down coming into the season...not so much now. Veras has been particularly horrendous. Who would have thought Saito & Hawkins may have been the biggest voids from '11 to now...although no guarantee they'd help in their 2012 form.

Veras has been particularly horrendous.

I initially felt much the same, but Veras hasn't really been that bad for the past month plus if you look at the numbers. Before this game, he'd only given up runs in two appearances since May 18, and in both of them he came into the game with the bases loaded, so it's hard to put much blame on him.
