Wasn't he batting around. 160 when he started to get hot against the Brewers at Miller Park

Yes.

But most hitters (sans rickie weeks) will be in the 200s no matter how bad theyre hitting by June.

I'd have to imagine, given PA's, Weeks is having one of the worst seasons of all time.

Clutch maldi!

That guy is making DM's job harder and harder every game that Luc's return gets nearer. I'm not saying he's going to take JL's job, but the guy can play at the ML level.

Maybe they'll send Kottaras packing, but that would upset wolf.

Lucroy is still going to start most of the time... but I'm wondering if they'd really send Martin back down after this stretch. Kottares' days are numbered. He definitely won't be on the team next year.

I think Luc's job is safe, but Kottaras should be let go or traded as soon as Luc is healthy. Kottaras has been ice cold lately and his defense isn't good enough to justify a keeping him over Maldonado.

I've always given RR the benefit of the doubt, but of all the times to bunt, a tie game in the 9th with a runner on 2nd, no outs, and a sub-.170 hitter at the plate was NOT one of them?

Unless he bunt popped out and I just can't tell from MLB.com?

I give roenicke credit for that one. At least he knows his players' limitations.

Weeks cant bunt (he can't hit or field either). He would of for sure f'd that up. A pop up is like the second best case scenario there.

I suppose when Weeks swings, there's a good chance for a bunt-like result, anyway.
