i'm not even a huge fan of his....but for the love of god free taylor green. 4th straight game in an AL park and he's made 1 start.

RF Norichika Aoki

CF Carlos Gomez

LF Ryan Braun

3B Aramis Ramirez

1B Corey Hart

DH Rickie Weeks

SS Cody Ransom

C Martin Maldonado

2B Edwin Maysonet

RHP Yovani Gallardo

Nothing like a lineup with 3 guys OPSing under .600. I guess that ignores Ransom's time in Arizona. My point remains the same.

Gomez should never be hitting in the top 7 spots, EVER!

No Taylor Green makes me think he must have had relations with RR's daughter. I can't think of any other reason he is doing nothing but riding the pine in games where we can have a DH...

Instead of getting Rickie a day off in the field, he needs to have a day or 2 off completely.

I just don't understand the way we do things.

I don't have much of a problem with Gomez in the lineup over Green but there is no reason to put Gomez #2.

i was thinking more along the lines of maysonet being in there again instead of Green (although I agree about Gomez and the #2 spot). I get that Liriano's a LHP, so Green isn't getting the start (although that still doesn't explain yesterday)....but even if Taylor Green might not be able to hit LHP (we don't know this because he never gets a chance, 1-3 in his career), I'm pretty sure Maysonet can't hit any pitching. I just think it's a bit ridiculous that in 6 games with a DH, a solid prospect like Taylor Green can barely crack THIS infield. He's going to end up with 2 starts on this road trip, which just doesn't make any sense when the alternatives are what they are.

I would start Green every single day, but I don't know enough about him yet to make a strong argument for him. I think Maysonet is a better defender so even if Green can hit same handed pitching better it would have to be a to better to make up for the defense. The other games against RHP, he should have 100% started especially over Gomez. He should have played in the field with Braun, Ramirez and Hart all dinged up.

I wonder if a hitter has ever finished the season with enough PA's to qualify for the batting title, <.170 average, and >.300 OBP. Gotta keep Weeks in the lineup or else we risk him not accomplishing this incredible feat.

I really hate how high up the camera view is. You can't really get a good idea of where each pitch is height-wise. Glad we only play at MIN once a year.

adam dunn had to have been about 5 plate appearances away from that last year.

I'm trying to figure out what exactly Gomez does that impresses Roenicke so much.

He does play amazing defense and hits LHP better than Morgan, although that isn't saying much. Gomez is just frustrating because he has all sorts of talent and plays hard (sometimes too hard). I wish he could just find a way to harness his natural ability and improve his baseball IQ.

how on earth is this team still tied for 7th with runs scored in the NL? The 2002 Brewers lineup is starting to look good to me. Not sure if i mean that in blue or not.

That would be fantastic. He really does have amazing physical abilities. If he could hit at ll he would be a really valuable CF. At this point he is the small half of a platoon if the starter is either really bad on defense or can't hit RHP at all. He has shown nothing except speed to be at the top of the order though.
