2012-6-10 Padres (Bass) at Brewers (Gallardo), 1:10 CDT [Brewers win, 6-5]

TURBO

Since no one started the game thread, I figured we could use this makeshift thread to substitute until the real one shows up.

Glad to see Green in the line-up today, not so glad to see that Rickie continues to get starts.

Yo not looking too sharp today...

...and this is why this kid NEEDS to be playing every darn day!

C'mon RR, play the kid!

Way to go Taylor, make it hard for our manager to keep you on the bench!

I'll give Rickie Weeks credit for one thing. It's amazing how he can continue to draw walks despite not being able to get on base by swinging his bat.

true, imagine the year he could be having if he hit his career average alone?

it almost seems like he is looking to walk when he gets to the plate.

Just watching on gameday and listening but it looked like Bass got 3 or 4 strike calls that inning that were balls for Yo in the same spot or better. How does it look on TV? Seems more like Yo getting squeezed than Bass getting a break.

Sorry that Lucroy got hurt but talk about a blessing in disguise! Forget backup, Maldanado looks more and more like a first string catcher. It's going to be very interesting seeing what they do when Lucroy gets back.

Lucroy is the starting catcher AINEC.

I think everyone is at the game today live and in person to get the Morgan bobble!

Yes, Maldonado is looking pretty darn good. I see no reason to keep Kottaras once Lucroy gets back. Of course, there is the "Wolfie" factor, so that probably means a demotion for Maldonado.

I know Maldonado is not projected as a great, or even a good hitter for that matter, and odds are his numbers come back down to earth, but here and now, he looks super!

The bigger question is what to do with Kottaras when Lucroy comes back? Trade?
