Weeks, perhaps our worst hitter, continues to hit in a run producing position in this line-up.

This absolutely disgusts me...........AGAIN!

Rickie should be hitting in the 8 hole until he can straighten out his problem. How pathetic does that sound knowing that I think Ransom, Gomez and "Maldy" should be hitting in front of him?

Great to see Ramirez back though...

With Gomez against a right-hander again and with the way the year has gone so far...I can't help but wonder if Morgan has some sort of injury that we haven't heard about yet.

(or maybe he is being traded since he is redundant to Aoki ;) )

That, or our manager has such a crush on "Gomey" that he just can't see any reason to bench him against a righty.

Or a more logical reason is that Morgan has been playing very sloppy baseball and is still in the doghouse for what happened in the Arizona series.

Or, judging by our managers past performance, RR just plain has no clue how to set a line-up.

I don't see much wrong with this lineup at all. The only problem I have is Maldonado taking up a roster spot but hopefully Lucroy can get healthy soon so that can be corrected. Right now there is very little difference between Gomez and Morgan this year. I don't mind Gomez getting the start here and he is batting where he should be when Chad Moeller with better defense is in the lineup.

I don't see anyone else who I would want hitting 5th. This is the probably the best lineup that can be made other than taking Chad Moeller with better defense out of the lineup and using Kottaras at catcher.

The sports section in SD was pretty much given over this morning to how bad the Padres are. One writer says it's the worst Pads team ever and they had one that lost 110. They are starting a reliever tomorrow night and hoping he can get into the 3d. The Cubs lost 12 in a row and then swept them. So it would be nice to win the series.

You are really underestimating Maldonado's value on defense. Especially compared to Kottaras. He's leaps and bounds better than him behind the plate, and it's incredibly noticeable. He's clearly the best defensive catcher in our organization. It's been great watching him behind the plate. He's obviously not a great hitter, but I definitely don't mind him in the lineup in the 8 hole. If Wolf wasn't on this team, Kottaras wouldn't be either.

LMAO. I was literally going through the Pads lineup to see which light hitting player was gonna take Marcum deep and i picked cabrera. I was going to post here then isaw gameday and fell off my chair laughing..... granted it didn't leave the field, but it'samazing how many HR Marcum gives up to complete light-weight hitters.... i don't worry about himpitching to decent hitters....

What happened with the HR?

I just have a hard time beliving his defense is worth more than Green starting at 1st against a RHP. Is Aoki not a real option at CF or what? More super secret factors that RR is considering?

Id say Coulter has about a 60 interview tool with future potential for 70+
I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

Coulter was pretty impressive in that interview. I can't imagine being a 18 year old kid and sitting in the press box like that.

Roache seems pretty comfortable as well. 30 HR's in NCAA ball these days is pretty incredible. Hope to see these guys in Milwaukee soon.
