FREE TAYLOR GREEN!
Why IS Random getting a start over green against a righty? Probably some super secret (and silly) reason driving RR to that decision? Is Green 0-1 against Garza during a celebrity softball game a couple of years ago?

This made me laugh out loud!

Green should be playing every day, period!

Our asinine manager can't see it.

Even if it means benching Rickie and his ridiculously large helmet for a day to get other guys playing time, Green needs to play. (and Rickie needs to cut that mop off his head)

Aoki with an outside the park HR! I wish Roenicke would just say Aoki is the everyday RF, Hart is the everyday 1B, and be done with it. It's obvious that that's the best option.

Obvious to everyone except the one person who gets to make those decisions.

In all seriousness, what does RR bring to this team that 100 other managers can't?

I'd like to see him fired. Seriously, I'd like to see him gone. I can't stand this stuff day after day. I can no longer watch his post game interviews either. His pet names for the players are border line creepy.

He is not a good manager.

I feel the same way. I'm liking what Aoki brings to the team, at least with the bat. Gets on base, sees a lot of pitches. I haven't watched him enough to know how well he plays out in RF. He seems to cover ground pretty good. But that's from early impressions.

While I also agree with the proposed lineup changes, I have to give RR credit. Looking at the roster, it amazes me that this team is 25-31 and hasn't gone into a complete tailspin after all the injuries. Out of everything a manager can be evaluated on, the starting lineup is worth about 5% to me. And most of the time, RR ends up making the proposed changes anyway--unlike the previous 2 managers who would stubbornly stick to things for months after it was obvious a change needed to be made.

I'm not watching the game live - just on ESPN's tracker.

But why bunt Maysonet with a runner in scoring position and the pitcher up?

I don't see the logic. Wolf is more likely to get an out, and then you're stuck with 2 outs.

Any explanations? I don't understand, but perhaps I'm missing something.

Ummmmm, Casey McGehee ring any bells?

There was no obvious replacement for McGehee and there were legitimate reasons for starting McGehee over the other options. As soon as Weeks returned from the DL, Hairston took over at 3B.

Just because you do not agree with the manager does not make him an idiot. There's nothing wrong with disagreeing with RR, but there usually isn't a simple right and wrong answer. Especially on something like the day-to-day lineup, when the full details of players' availability are not always known.
