Looks like INF Adrian Williams of the Timber Rattlers is getting a bump all the way to AAA to fill in as depth there. We've seen the Brewers do this occasionally with very young players, perhaps not wanting to break up a Brevard playoff-push lineup for instance. It's not based on prospectdom, as the 21-year-old out of UCLA has a .469 OPS this season, but soak up the experience and enjoy!

Following Tuesday's game, Brewers LHP Brent Suter was promoted to Wisconsin. The Harvard University product was 4-2 on the season with a 3.92 ERA. Suter leaves the team ranking second in innings pitched with 43.2 and strikeouts with 42. Opponents were able to draw just eight walks on Suter over the course of his nine relief appearances and two starts.

RHP Maverick Lasker back to the DL to make room. Wonder if it's the lower back again, that's why Lasker missed so much time early this season. He missed his rookie season back in 2008 with a back muscle strain. Such a serious problem for a just-22-year-old.

Huntsville Media Relations:

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Milwaukee Brewers and Huntsville Stars have made a few roster moves prior to tonight’s game against the Mississippi Braves. Infielder Andy Gonzalez has been transferred back to the Triple-A Nashville Sounds. Replacing him on the roster is infielder Adrian Williams from Nashville. Additionally, RHP Santo Manzanillo has finished his rehab assignment in Arizona and was activated from the disabled list and transferred to Class-A Wisconsin.

Gonzalez, with his second stint with the Stars this season, hit .301 (40-for-133) with four doubles, five home runs and 19 RBIs. He drew 35 walks and struck out just 24 times.

Williams started the season with Class-A Wisconsin, hitting .165 (16-for-97) in 97 games with seven RBI. He played nine games with the Helena Brewers (Rookie), going 3-for-24 (.125). He was transferred to Triple-A Nashville on August 19. In his three games with the Sounds, he went 2-for-6 (.333). Williams was drafted in the 45th round of the 2011 First-Year Player Draft by the Brewers.

Relief pitcher Manzanillo has been on the disabled list since June 26 (retroactive to June 23). In 12 games with the Stars this season, he is 0-4 with a 6.08 ERA (13.1 IP / 9 ER).

With these moves, the Stars active roster is at 25.

Catcher Brent Dean, who had not appeared in a Brevard County game since August 9th despite being on the active roster, has been transferred to Wisconsin. He was also, however, immediately placed on the Wisconsin disabled list. The Manatees' roster is now two short of the 25-man maximum.

Nashville LHP Mitch Stetter activated from DL (which included parenting leave for the birth of his 2nd child).

Rehabbing RHP Vinnie Chulk activated from Nashville's DL as well, but moves from Maryvale, where he was assigned on rehab, to being a formal roster member of Brevard County, hopefully helping them sweep their way to a playoff spot.

Young Adrian Williams' quick affiliate tour ends where it started as the infielder is transferred back to Wisconsin from Huntsville (where he failed to get into a game after a brief Nashville stint).

Unfortunately, infielder Greg Hopkins hits the Rattlers' DL with an undisclosed injury.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Milwaukee Brewers and Huntsville Stars have made a roster move prior to tonight’s game against the Birmingham Barons. RHP Tim Dillard has been transferred from Triple-A Nashville to Huntsville.

Dillard started the season with the Brewers, going 0-2 with a 4.38 ERA (37 IP / 18 ER) in 34 appearances. In 14 games with the Sounds, the righty went 1-1 with a 9.42 ERA (14.1 IP / 15 ER). The 29-year-old was last with Huntsville during the 2006 season, compiling a 10-7 record with a 3.15 ERA in 29 games (25 starts).

With these moves, the Stars active roster is at 25, two others (Scarpetta, Lamontagne) on the DL.

***

So not only is Dillard a Nashville resident as the Sounds wrap up the season with an eight-game homestand, but now he won't get a chance to become the Sounds' all-time win leader (currently tied for first).

INF Adrian Williams was transferred from Wisconsin to Helena and played for the rookie H-Crew Sunday.

That leaves an open roster spot for the Rattlers to fill either in time for Monday's doubleheader or Wednesday's playoff day. Will it be an activation from the DL or a surprise transfer? We'll see...

Symbolic move or last active pro game? Veteran Erick Almonte has been activated from the Nashville DL in time for Monday's finale.

Turns out MiLB.com burned me here. Everything from the box score to the transaction page to the roster page had Williams in Helena during the overnight last night.

Thanks to Chris Mehring for letting me know it was all an end-of-season conspiracy against me by MiLB.

Williams remains with Wisconsin.

At Wisconsin, catcher Brent Dean has been activated from the 7-day DL, while RHP Michael White, who threw four near-spotless innings on Monday, is placed on the DL.

No word on whether it's playoff roster juggling or an actual issue with White, who joined the Rattlers from Helena on August 8th.

As the minor league seasons end, the Brewers run paper transactions to activate players from the disabled list -- names from Baseball America, any info in quotes from us:

Reinstated from DL: RHP Mitch Conner (Tommy John surgery), RHP Rodolfo Fernandez (we didn't see the Cuban signee this year), RHP Brooks Hall, RHP Eric Marzec (strep / mono), RHP Andy Moye, RHP Austin Ross (Tommy John surgery), LHP Jed Bradley ("tired arm"), C Shawn Zarraga, SS Orlando Arcia (fractured ankle), SS Hector Gomez, OF Victor Roache (wrist surgery)

Frustrating we don't know the specifics on some players, but we'll learn more next spring when the media guide is released.

Any injured Timber Rattlers will be activated after their season wraps up (with a championship ;)).
