Way to go Michael Fiers. Way to go.

Incredible. Maybe he'll give us the boost we need to start putting together some good series and a nice LITTLE run. Start out with 4 of 5, 3 of 4, make it just a little closer and see what happens.

Late to the party but I'd like to pile on.....Weeks is a muppet. The only thing he basically can do at a major league level is walk and he swings 3-0. At this point, I'd much rather watch a Ransom type out there. Guy is picked up off the scrap heap and he's looked a million times better than Weeks has at any point this year.

Great game by Fiers. I know he's not really a prospect, but I was pretty excited to watch him pitch and he delivered.

Rickie Weeks has posted an OPS over .800 the past 3 years. He started the All Star game last year. Weeks is a muppet? What does this even mean?

Johnny Narron's been pushing Weeks to swing at get-me-over fastballs. Did there, missed it. My worry is that they're trying to change Weeks' approach just to get him out of the slump, and stuff like that isn't going to help. Rickie of old wouldn't swing 3-0.

He hasn't been swinging enough in hitter counts or the first pitch, so at least Narron can see there is a major problem with his approach. Weeks the last 2 years was much better at not letting the best fastball go by in his ab's. Outside of the period where he was diving over the plate, not being aggressive enough has been Weeks' main problem this year.

Also, Conrad makes Weeks look like Ted Williams up there. Feel bad for the guy.

Maldonado is your typical all-defense, no-bat catcher. I'd be surprised if he hits much better than Wil Nieves did last year, but he'll be an asset defensively -- you only have to look at the framejob he just did on that Herrera K looking, or the rocket he fired to first on Kemp's dribbler in front of home.
