There is a part of me that would just prefer Aoki in CF, Hart in RF, and Green at 1B ... All the time. Not this once a week stuff

I agree. Or Morgan/Gomez straight platoon in CF, Aoki in RF, Hart at 1B every day. Either way would be fine with me.

And that is why you take your .150 hitter and bunt the lead off single over

That's a lot easier said than done. Rickie is a terrible bunter. I'm definitely not mad they didn't have him bunt, but having him hack away 3-0 was inexcusable.

Weeks has one sacrifice bunt in the past four seasons. Not convinced a bunt would have worked out much differently.

Johnny Narron's been pushing Weeks to swing at get-me-over fastballs. Did there, missed it. My worry is that they're trying to change Weeks' approach just to get him out of the slump, and stuff like that isn't going to help. Rickie of old wouldn't swing 3-0.

I get the approach, sort of, but still -- time and place, and this definitely wasn't the time and place.

He can't hit, what makes you think he can bunt?

I think it is wishful thinking at this point that he can contribute someway

Rickie is my favorite Brewer with Greinke being a very close second, but .150 hitters shouldn't be swinging on 3-0.

Not in a 2-1 game, not with a runner on 1st and 0 outs. I know the pct's say sac bunts are less likely to score runs there, but the pct's don't take into account a bad average for a pitcher.

We all know, or should be confident that Rickie's career didn't go the way of Bill Hall's, but there is NO harm in him taking a walk to put men on 1st and 2nd there or at least taking a pitch to get to 3-1.

Late to the party but I'd like to pile on.....Weeks is a muppet. The only thing he basically can do at a major league level is walk and he swings 3-0. At this point, I'd much rather watch a Ransom type out there. Guy is picked up off the scrap heap and he's looked a million times better than Weeks has at any point this year.

Great game by Fiers. I know he's not really a prospect, but I was pretty excited to watch him pitch and he delivered.
