Good to see Hart playing 1B again. Hopefully he is there most of the rest of the season.

A little surprised to see Braun starting. Day game after a night game when Braun has been struggling with injuries but not with his bat.... and I know it has gotta be real difficult to sit Braun vs a LHP

All things considered, I think this is just about the best lineup we could come up with, although I'd prefer to see Maysonnet starting and hitting 8th instead of Izturis

I also agree with Hart at 1st. Seeing Izturis here every day is so painful.

This isn't a good matchup, but even though they won't show it, they're starting to approach a point in the season where they're getting desperate for a win. If they don't get one today, it's not all that unrealistic that they could enter June at 15 games below .500 -- a 1-6 road trip in Arizona and L.A. isn't out of the question.

You can't dig yourself too deep of a hole, even with most of the season still in front of us.
