2012-05-21 Giants (Bumgarner) at Brewers (Wolf), 7:10 PM CDT (Hart starts at 1B) [Brewers lose, 4-3 in 14 innings]

They shouldn't play any song that announces "I'm high as a kite" in my opinion...

T-Rats play that song this year too... It annoys me.

I've only been watching the last couple innings, but they have yet to go to commercial since the 8th. Just highlights and commentators between innings. What's that about?

"Technical difficulties" is what they've been saying. It's been commercial-free all night.

I was wondering the same thing ... what gives FSN? Making too much money don't need the commercials anymore?

Im always amazed how quickly baseball fans turn on above average players. Its like personal.

Wait, are you saying Izturis is an above average player?

Um, no :) My comment was just way late. Wolf and Weeks specifically, any player that struggles for a couple months in general. That's doubly true if it's the first 2 months.

"Gomez hitting there against Romo is inexcusable with Morgan, Ishikawa, and Green all on the bench. Need a LHH there."

Yes, that was a terrible move. RR is usually good about not saving guys in extra innings so I have no idea what that was all about. Of course, RR has always had a soft spot for Gomez so...

Crap, why is Braun out?

he has to have tweaked something. They didn't double switch, and even if they had Aoki would have made perfect sense (although moving the pitcher spot from 9 to 2 or 3 doesn't really change much). Hopefully its just a cramp.

And you don't even DS out Veras.....

careful what you wish for. he probably would have brought in Dillard.

Dillard has arguably out pitched Veras.

Dillard's tERA is 4.07, Veras's is 5.51. They basically have the same xFIP. I guess what I am saying is I have no clue why Veras keeps getting high leverage innings and pitching all the time.

fair enough. I guess if all things are equal you try to get two innings out of a guy in case this thing drags on. And Veras looked solid in his first inning.
