Cannot log in on Firefox

I go to log in, put my user name and password, and it forwards me to the forum, but doesn't show me logged in. I've tried this several times, same issue.

 

No problems at all logging in on Chrome or IE8.

 

Suggestions??

I'll start by stabbing in the dark at the obvious. Have you changed any of your privacy settings? Do you have any blockers installed? Are you able to log into other sites?

 

You need to accept cookies from sites, but it's not necessary to accept third party cookies.

I did a reinstall of XP on my laptop, and Firefox and Chrome are brand spanking new installs. IE is v 8.0. Nothing that would prevent me from logging in. I have no issues on other sites as of yet. No blockers running, no strange privacy settings, no firewall restrictions, etc.

 

I'm using Chrome right now.

It sounds like you didn't install any Firefox extensions. But just to be sure, you could try going to "Add-ons" in the Tools menu, clicking on Extensions on the sidebar, see if there's anything there, and see what happens if you disable anything that's in there.

 

Also, you could try tossing your cookies. Go to "Clear Recent History…" in the Tools menu, make sure Cookies is checked, and hit the Clear Now button. You don't have to choose to clear anything other than Cookies unless you want to.

 

I'm wondering if Firefox is balking at the apostrophe in your username. I could remove it for you, but because that would change the way you log in, I'd want to be communicating with you via e-mail (not PMs) during that process. You don't have to post your e-mail address; I can get that from the board's administrative controls. If removing the apostrophe doesn't help, we can always put it back.
