This is definitely the worst lineup the Brewers could have trotted out there.

Moving Lucroy up has paid off so far today...his RISP numbers are going to drop eventually, but it's fun right now. It'll be interesting to see if RR keeps him there when Ramirez isn't resting. Maybe go Hart-CFer-Braun-Lucroy-Ramirez?

This is one of the worst Brewer lineups that I can remember seeing since the beginning of the Yost era. I get the 'Sunday rest' concept, but why do you sit Ramirez after the HR yesterday?

Why bother questioning RR any more? The guy is an absolute horror of a mangaer.

I want him gone, end this charade.

what would he have to do to make you NOT question his lineup? I'm not asking this to be a jerk, and I would have asked it whether or not the team had 8 runs right now. It's a team with flaws, and those flaws have been magnified by injuries so there's going to be holes in the lineup. I can see wanting Ramirez in there (not that he's been great) instead of Maysonet...but he's a 33 year old with a history of missing time due to nagging injuires, and he's played 10 straight days. Guys need days off.

Nice to see the offense awaken...during a day game!

The RR bashing was more justified last year. That roster had way more talent and it took several months before they started playing like it.

Taylor Green can play. Edwin Maysonet should never play.

Green can play 2B and 3B. There is no reason to rest Weeks and Ramirez on the same day.

Roenicke has done some annoying stuff lately, and I don't like the number of squeezes and contact plays, but I think he's done far fewer silly things so far this year. Compared to other MLB managers, he's probably at least average.

Lucroy has been great this year. He could legitimately finish the season with a .290/.350/.450 line with this hot start. The last time the Brewers had a catcher with a >100 OPS+ was in 1999, when Nilsson had a huge year.

I understand that, which is why I said I can understand the complaint of wanting Ramirez in there and Green at 2nd. But Ramirez needs a day off, and i feel as if turborickey has been someone (correct me if I'm wrong) who has wanted Weeks out of the lineup for some time. This lineup is what happens when you have injuries and bench underperforming players. It is definitely one of the worst brewers lineups I've seen on paper in some time...but given what is at his disposal I don't think there is very much Roenicke could have done differently. There are so many critiques about him being set in his ways (which have some validity) "Lucroy has to bat 8th", "CF must bat 2nd", etc.....and now he tries to change what isn't working (and good for him) but he still gets criticized. i just think it's a little over the top sometimes.

Reds leading the Yanks and CC in the 8th... I'm surprised.

And he's used Marshall - I wonder if Chapman is going to close.

I thought I read Chapman isn't available to pitch today, which seems odd (he can't pitch back to back days??). But we shall see, maybe they'll use Arredondo.

No, the pitch to Green was just a bit inside. Green swung his arms and checked his swing. The pitch hit him in the arm/hand area on the checked swing.

Dillard wasn't trying to retaliate. Lucroy was set up inside. The pitch looked like a frisbee that hooks at the end as it sailed behind him.

The only hit batter that looked bad today was when Morgan got plunked. I think Dillard's response was just kind of "Hey you might not be throwing at us but you have hit a bunch of our guys today so take this"

Only problem is Dillard can't even hit a guy when he is throwing at him....lol
