Good to see Taylor Green starting. Uecker is fun to listen to, but I wish this was on TV!

Green needs to hit for the cycle or he may never start again No pressure

I don't usually join in the "starting lineup" comments, but I wish they'd give Ryan the day off. I remember watching Diego Edmonds' Achilles finally go on him as he circled the bases at MP during his last home run trot (against the Brewers, of course). I don't want to see that happen to Ryan, nor do I want to moderate all the I TOLD YOU SOs that would fairly justifiably appear on this site.

Still, go Brewers. I saw you play effectively last night. I can't think of a reason your good play has to be limited to Tuesdays.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I was really hoping they would give Rickie a day off and start Green at 2B, especaially against Cueto. It can't believe I am saying this but I'drather have Ishikawa playing than Weeks right now.

I have no real issue with this lineup. I do agree that I probably would have let Braun get the day off today and go with Aoki there, mainly cause I think these are the type of guys Aoki can excel against with his contact approach. I also would have Ishikawa in there for Weeks. Maybe a lineup of Morgan, Aoki, Hart, Ramirez, Lucroy, Green, Ishikawa, Maysonet would be good today. But all in all no real issue

Why can't Braun play 1st? Rest his bum leg and keep him in the lineup. We have decent backup outfielder options as well. Stick Green at 2nd for Rickie.

What makes you believe Braun can play 1st? You can't just stick guys where ever out there on the field like its Little League.

Agree on Green at 2nd for Rickie though. Could easily play Ishikawa at 1st. Or Conrad. Or Kottaras...

Braun probably cannot be moved to 1st in the middle of this season, but at some point soon (2013? 2014?) they should move him there in order to help his durability and save on the wear and tear on his legs from all the running in the outfield

Jogging after fly balls in the outfield isn't going to tire out Braun's legs. Moving him to 1B also decreases his value, unless he gets really, really bad at defense. Not going to happen until the end of the decade at the soonest, unless the is a serious need at 1B.

There isn't serious need at 1B? We have a lot of outfielders.

Yes we do, Braun included. None of them are natural at 1B, any move would be forced. When the time comes, it would be better to trade an outfielder and sign/develop a new 1B.

Runs would sure help. Seems like at least twice a week we have wasted a great outing by a starter because our offense is just inept.

The Reds could have walked Izturis to get Greinke out of the game, but figured why bother? Izturis is an auto-out....

Greinke at 91 pitches...hope he has one more strong inning in him.
