Very excited to see Taylor Green get his chance. Let's get a win here and get back to Milwaukee with no more injuries.

While you never like to see injuries, I gotta say I'm happy for Taylor Green and excited to see what he can do. He is a player who has proven himself at every step along the way and really deserves a chance to play a lot. He should've made the Brewers roster coming out of Spring Training anyways... here's hoping he plays well now and becomes a Brewers starter for many years to come

His MLB experience last year will serve him well over the next few weeks and months

Even taking all the injuries into account, you look at today's lineup and, other than Izturis being in there, I think most would have been happy with it back on opening day is they had just the lineup card in their hand.

I guess what I'm saying is that the gloom-and-doom is mostly an attitude. The injuries aren't good from the depth perspective at all, and the Gamel injury might have repercussions down the line for him, but the season is still in front of them and unless the Cards run away and hide the division is still there to be taken.

I think they handled Taylor Green pretty well. From a talent perspective, he obviously should have made the roster over a guy like Ishikawa...but personally I preferred him playing every day in AAA to being a PH and maybe seeing 1 start a week. Now that there's an opportunity for him to play quite a bit (although the circumstances are unfortunate) he's up, just like he should be. Hopefully he makes an impact and they keep giving him ABs. He should start most games at 1st against RHB (3-4 a week) as well as spelling Rickie or A-Ram.

ugh, Corey.

Previously, I wanted Rickie to work through his struggles, partly because we really didn't have any good options on the roster. But now that Green and Conrad are up, he needs to sit a few days. He just has not been the same since his ankle injury. It really stinks.

Dave Bristol is the trivia answer (the manager who led both the Brewers and Giants).

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

There's a hard hit ball by Weeks. That was a nice swing.. finally. Way to go, Rick. Now comes the fun game to see if they can get two consecutive hits.

*Edit - well, there's the second hit. Too bad it didn't leave the infield.

*Edit 2 - Wow, Braun really can't run that well right now.

Was that a Phoenix Suns logo on the elbow brace that Braun has on? (It showed after he slid into 2nd and adjusted his pants).
