Man. Why not be happy that Gomez is producing against lefties and leave it alone? Playing him against righties seems to be a great way to cool him off.

Morgan isn't producing against anyone so it is worth a shot. With that said I would have rather seen Aoki get the start.

My question is when do you shake up the top of the order and move Rickie out of the lead-off spot. Hard to score runs when you lead-off hitter and #2 (Morgan) are both batting below the Mendoza line. Nothing long term, but RRR has to shake things up a bit IMO.

We're the A game on FOX this week, so not only will the majority of the country watch the Brewers humiliate themselves, we'll have the pleasure of suffering through Buck and McCarver. Fantastic.

The A game in my area is Kansas City at Minnesota. I guess it's Uecker for me.

I can deal with Gomez starting anytime because I think his value on defense out-weighs whatever hitting edge Morgan or Aoki might provide (although I must add that this is merely what I think, I don't have any statistical data to back that up).... what I question is why he is batting 2nd vs a RHP?

With Roenicke's seemingly reliance on small samples though, if Gomez goes 2-4 today with a double and a couple runs scored, he might end up starting a lot more vs RHP, which I don't think is such a bad idea (defense!).

Kottaras in the 8 hole? I suppose I understand wanting to split up Kottaras & Gamel, but still....kinda a weird lineup but I do like that Roenicke is shaking things up ever so slightly

It's a small sample, no doubt, but he's producing against righties so far as well. May as well see if it can continue or at least ride him while he's hot.

Even if starting Gomez against a RHP is a good idea, and it isn't, he should be hitting way at the bottom of the order. He is not a good hitter. Yes, Morgan is that much better at hitting RHP that it more than makes up for the difference in defense. Morgan is a better than average defender.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

April has been so... Cardinals. Just typical Cardinals, with guys playing over their abilities. Westbrook, Lynn, and Lohse pitching out of their heads. Lynn I can understand, but not really Lohse, and especially Westbrook. Westbrook is garbage. This can't keep up, but it sure is annoying.
