We have options. Send McClendon or Dillard down and bring up another starter....like Peralta and leave Estrada in long relief. RR should have skipped him and used Estrada today when Marcum sucked. The bullpen was destroyed as it was before today.

Starting Estrada really weakens the pen...and it wasn't good to begin with.

I'm about ready to give up on Parra.....just don't think he is ever going to be reliable.

piling on manny even when he doesn't pitch....?

Izturis. Nice move Ron. Nice move. I don't care if it would have worked (which stunningly, it didn't), but that was arguably the WORST move he could have made. Ishikawa isn't great against lefties, but he's got to be better than Izturis would have been. Not to mention that Izturis has zero power and we were down 2 with 2 outs already.

And on top of that, we have 2 other lefties on the bench that can hit lefties pretty well in Aoki and Gamel. If you insist on PH use one of them, don't put in one of the worst offensive players in all of baseball.

That is like Mike Sherman trading up in the draft to select a punter, or starting Kotsay in CF in the playoffs, unforgivable offense.

I hate having Izturis on this team because these thoughts seem to creep in RRR's head at the worst times. If we are going to have a no-hit decent defense SS I wish they would have just squeezed another year of Counsell

Well isn't this like the 2nrd or 3rd time all season that Izturiz has pinch hit? Granted this is obviously the perfect situation for an actual legitimate RH pinch hitter; but its splitting hairs trying to decide between Ishikawa and Izturis. I would have stuck with Ishikawa though.
