Yea that's about what I thought. Sinker relies on grip and delivery like any other pitch. Never made sense to me that rest makes it flatten out. Rock just sounds so convincing.

I think it depends on the guy too. Todd Coffey always said he needed a lot of work for his sinker to be effective. Gonzo!

He did pretty well with Wolf on the mound earlier, actually.

 

He's not going to do as well in that department as Lucroy but no catcher stops them all.
