Just gut reaction after seeing him be out by quite a good amount and then looked like he stared him down after the play.

I'm not saying he should get hit - I hate intentional plunkings and think they have no place in the game.

He was looking back while walking to the dughout to see if the catcher was ok/was getting up. He didn't go help him up or anything, but I don't think most opponents would.

I thought it was unnecessary given the game situation. He drove his shoulder into his head area. How many guys are suing the NFL over hits like that? Gamel put himself at risk to turn a 4 run lead into a 5 run lead in April? Bad decision by Sedar in this type of game too.

Gamel will take one in the ribs. No question.

Gamel may have been safe. Looks like he tip-toed the corne of the plate a split second before he was tagged. Not that he would ever be called safe on a play like that.

This just in...turns out those wasted opportunities earlier matter after all,

I believe it was shoulder to shoulder and if it wasn't, any contact with the head was created from however the catcher ended up turning. It certainly didn't appear that Gamel was aiming for any particular spot.

And turning a 4 run game into a 5 run game would've been nice right now. I liked taking the chance there. You have Carlos Lee, a guy with a flaccid arm, running with his momentum away from home plate, having to try to spin around and make a good throw, a throw which would have the catcher looking in the opposite direction the runner is coming from, making it more difficult for him to turn and make the tag.

I noticed that as well. Looked like the catcher was set up a little behind the plate and Gamel was able to step on it before making contact.

This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

This is what I worried about with Veras. I always heard he had a live arm but lots of control problems. Maybe if he took a couple MPH off each pitch and tried to locate a little more.

I don't really have any confidence in any of the Brewer RP right now. April can be funny like that with bullpens though. I'm sad that Veras is still out there to face Altuve though when he hasn't shown the ability to command his pitches at all tonight.
