I can remember Andy Replogle gutting his way through some starts against the Red Sox and the rest of the AL East. Randy Stein was another pitcher that I remember from that team, neither of them had impressive stats, but they racked up some innings.

Scooter isn't hot. It's just Scooter being Scooter.

 

It's going to be a real interesting question if Scooter bangs the ball like this. Do you trade Weeks after 2013 season (or even sooner)? Will there be any takers for a 31 year old 2nd baseman due to make $11 million in 2014?

It's going to be a real interesting question if Scooter bangs the ball like this. Do you trade Weeks after 2013 season (or even sooner)? Will there be any takers for a 31 year old 2nd baseman due to make $11 million in 2014?

 

Lots of options. Sure you could trade Weeks, his contract design wouldn't prevent a trade. But you could also move Weeks to 3rd. Or, have Scoot start playing more SS and 3B, so he could join the roster as UT to start with. These things usually work themselves out.
