Alex Cohen is the new play-by-play voice of the Stars; follow him on Twitter @alexmcohen. It's fantastic that Huntsville is returning to what will be a traditional broadcast format this year. All games, home and away, are scheduled to be broadcast.

MiLB.TV subsciption note: A total of 24 Stars' games (in Jacksonville and Tennessee) will be broadcast.

**********

Brevard County: LHP Jed Bradley at home vs. Lakeland (Tigers), 5:35 PM gametime

Sorry, no audio for this series...

Once again this season, Brevard does not have its own audio coverage. It appears two teams in the Manatees North Division (within which the majority of games are played) have audio, and all six teams in the South Division have audio (at least for their home games), so there will be opportunities to listen to approx. 70% or Brevard's games this season, just all from the opponent's perspective. There are no Florida State League games on MiLB.TV this year.

**********

Wisconsin: RHP's Matt Miller and Drew Gagnon in a doubleheader at home vs. Burlington (Athletics), 4:45 PM pre-game, 5:05 gametime; each contest slated for seven innings

Chris Mehring is back to do his customary fantastic work as the Voice of the Rattlers. Follow him on Twitter @CMehring; we'll link to Chris' infamous blog often -- Rattler Radio.

MiLB.TV -- for subscribers; Wisconsin is one of only two (Great Lakes) Midwest League clubs that have all their home games available via MiLB.TV; Chris' call provides the audio. So for the $39.95 season-long package, fans in Brewer Nation can watch all Sounds games, all Timber Rattlers home games, and 24 Stars' road games (one Helena series this summer, too).

Oh lordy, the first double header of the year. Will we see Max Walla tonight?

Edit: Hopefully Sean Halton will get back on track soon. 1-16 5 K 0 BB in his last 5 and .229/.270/.343 11 K 2 BB over his last 10 games. He needs to be productive for people to look past the scouting reports (or lack-there-of).

I remember (I hope accurately) that Melvin commented that the Brewers were going to be aggressive with both Jungmann & Bradley if they forced the issue. It'll be interesting to see exactly what "aggressive" means for Melvin & Co.

Brevard County 5 Flying Kitties 0

Box Score

What more can you say about LHP Jedidiah Bradley? Tonight's line: 6 IP 4 H 0 R 0 ER 1 BB 7 K 7:3 GO:FO. To me, Jed is a shining example of what pro coaches can do for a pitcher. Not many thought Jed was this polished but he must have been buffed pretty good over the winter and early spring by the coaches. Or maybe the best run of his life just happens to coincide with his full season debut? You can decide for yourself.

Our old buddy/nemesis/top prospect Eric Arnett debuted and relieved Bradley. He gave up 1 hit and hit 1 batter before escaping unscathed. Alan Williams shut down the game with 2 scoreless and 2 K.

The bats proved potent but sporadic once again. Lead off hitter and starting SS Nick Shaw (1-3 BB) set the table. Shaw is off to a nice start. T.J. Mittelstaedt, the Alpha-extra base hit machine, had another (7 now) with his 3rd 3B on the year. Cody Hawn (2-4 SB) struck out two more times (13 K in last 6 G). He never had much of a contact problem before now. Beta-extra base hit machine Miguel Velazquez (5 now) had a double. No Shawn Zarraga in this one.

Another clean sheet on D. Perhaps this has something to do with the tremendous success of our pitching staff?

Final Game 2: Wisconsin 2, Burlington (A's) 0 (7 Innings)

Wisconsin Game 2 Box Score

The T-Rats score their first shutout of the season and a split of the double header behind a solid effort from Drew Gagnon. Drew went 5.1 allowing 6 hits and 2 walks while striking out 6, he only had 1 clean frame but he pitched well enough. He ran into major trouble in the 6th but Seth Harvey was absolutely fantastic striking out the final 2 batters of the 6th to get out of the jam and then sent the Bees back to hotel by mowing 'em down in order in the 7th. Seth had 4 strike outs in his 1.2 IP.

Max Walla saw his first action of the season going 0-2 and a walk. Brandon Macias went 2-2 with a double, no other Rattlers had multiple hits. Chadwin Stang and Carlos George each had a stolen base and it was a clean game defensively.

Chris did take time during the second game to address Thornburg's outing last night and while he chose his words carefully he made his discontent with the "reliever" label pretty clear.

Wisconsin Game 2 Play By Play

This was all the scoring, someone should buy Kirkland an ice cream.

Bees take game one of twinbill

By Chris Mehring / Wisconsin Timber Rattlers

GRAND CHUTE, WI - Drew Granier pitched a complete game and the Burlington Bees offense put together a pair of rallies to defeat the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 5-1 in game one of a doubleheader Tuesday evening at Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium. Grainer struck out seven and allowed four hits for his second win of the season.

Jason Rogers reached base on a two-out double in the bottom of the fourth inning. Rogers was the first Rattler to reach base against Granier. Rogers has reached base on either a hit or a walk in each of the first 11 games of the season for Wisconsin.

The Bees (6-5) broke the scoreless tie with three runs off Rattlers starting pitcher Matt Miller in the fifth. Nick Rickles singled with one out. Royce Consigli's perfectly placed hit-and-run single put runners on the corners. Aaron Shipman was next and his single to right scored Rickles for a 1-0 lead.

Later in the fifth, BA Vollmuth doubled to left-center to send in two runs and the Bees were up 3-0.

Greg Hopkins started the Rattlers (5-6) in their half of the fifth inning with a bunt single. An error on the play moved him to second base. Rafael Neda singled to send Hopkins to third base. Carlos George knocked in Hopkins with a sacrifice fly and cut Burlington's lead to 3-1.

Rickles and Consigli struck again in the top of the seventh. Rickles singled to start the frame. A wild pitch moved him to second base. Then, Consigli tripled to score for a 4-1 Burlington lead.

Stephen Peterson relieved Miller and got the next batter, but an RBI double by Sean Jamieson gave the Bees a 5-1 lead.

Granier allowed a one out single to Neda in the bottom of the seventh, but got a game ending double play to move his record to 2-0.

WP: Drew Granier (2-0)

LP: Matt Miller (0-3)

Gagnon & Harvey combine on shutout for Rattlers win in game two

By Chris Mehring / Wisconsin Timber Rattlers

GRAND CHUTE, WI - Drew Gagnon pitched shutout baseball into the sixth inning and Seth Harvey closed out a 2-0 Wisconsin Timber Rattlers win over the Burlington Bees in game two of a Tuesday night doubleheader at Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium. Wisconsin and Burlington split the twinbill. The Bees won game one 5-1.

The only runs of the nightcap scored in the bottom of the fourth inning off Burlington starter Jonathan Joseph. Brandon Macias doubled to start the inning and Greg Hopkins moved him to third with a sacrifice bunt.

The Bees (6-6) brought the infield in, but Carlos George's high chopper to short left Wade Kirkland with no play at the plate on first. However, Kirkland's throw to first was wild and George reached. George made the Bees pay by stealing second and taking third on a wild pitch. Then, Tyler Roberts smacked a single through the drawn in infield to drive in George for a 2-0 lead.

Gagnon worked his way through minor jams in the first few innings, but he needed help in the top of the sixth. BA Vollmuth doubled to start the inning and one out later Gagnon walked Bobby Crocker to put the tying runs on base. Seth Harvey took over for Gagnon at this point.

John Nester followed with a bloop single to shallow center to load the bases with one out. But, Harvey turned things up a notch by striking out the next two batters to keep the Rattlers (6-6) in front.

Harvey made it a routine save by retiring the side in order in the top of the seventh with two more strikeouts.

Gagnon picked up his first professional victory with his performance. He scattered six hits over 5-1/3 innings. Gagnon's six strikeouts in the game bumped his strikeout totals for the season to 19 in 14-1/3 innings.

The final game of the homestand is Wednesday night at 6:35pm. Mark Williams (0-1, 3.38) is the scheduled starting pitcher for Wisconsin. Jose Macias (0-2, 5.00) is set to start for Burlington.

Wednesday is a 105.7 WAPL Bang for Your Buck Night and a College Night. Fans can take advantage of $1 Cher-Make hot dogs, soda, and Miller Beer products! Plus, college students can purchase reserved bleacher tickets for just $1 when presenting college ID at time of ticket purchase.

Wednesday is the final Cash for Cans Night, too. Bring in a non-perishable food item to donate to St. Joe's Food Program and receive a half price ticket.

If you can't make it out to the ballpark, you can still catch the ballgame. Tune in for the broadcast on AM1280, WNAM or timberrattlers.com starting with the Miller Lite Pregame Show at 6:15pm. Time Warner Cable subscribers in the state of Wisconsin can watch the telecast on Sports32. The game is also available on MiLB.TV.

Bradley goes six scoreless as 'Tees take series

By Frank Longobardo / Brevard County Manatees

VIERA, Fla. -The Brevard County Manatees notched their fourth shutout of the season as they blanked the Lakeland Flying Tigers 5-0 on Tuesday night at Space Coast Stadium.

Starting pitcher Jed Bradley (2-1, 0.00) threw six scoreless innings and struck out seven. In 19 innings of work in three starts, the southpaw has yet to allow an earned run in 2012.

In the third inning, Brevard County (8-4) put three runs on the board thanks to a two-run triple by T.J. Mittelstaedt and a RBI single by Cody Hawn, who went 2-for-4. Mittelstaedt is currently the Florida State League's leader in slugging percentage with a mark of .615.

The 'Tees put two more on the board in the seventh inning on a two-run double by Miguel Velazquez that scored both Nick Shaw and Reggie Keen.

Seeing his first action of the season, former first round pick Eric Arnett relieved Bradley in the seventh and pitched a scoreless inning. Alan Williams pitched the final two innings and recorded two strikeouts against Lakeland (5-7).

Brevard County, along with the rest of the FSL, will have an off day on Wednesday. The Manatees will then hit the road on Thursday for a six-game road trip.

The first stop on that trip will be to face the FSL North Division leading Dunedin Blue Jays for a three-game set. Brevard County currently trails Dunedin by two games for first place. The Manatees will then take on the Clearwater Threshers for a three-game series.

Hiram Burgos (0-0, 0.00) is slated to start the opening game of Brevard County's series against Dunedin. Burgos threw six scoreless innings and allowed just three hits in his last start against Dunedin this past Friday.
