3B Cesar Izturis

This is a very big problem. Not just one start, but that Izturis is obviously the only real IF backup. The fix is so obvious to me, ditch Ish for Taylor Green & then you never have to play Izturis's bat at 2B or 3B. He's completely unacceptable as a hitter at 3B.

Yeah, I was shocked that Green didn't make the MLB club. I'm not sure how much experience he's had in OF but if they're comfortable with him in the corners once in awhile, he could get a start pretty much anywhere but CF/C/SS and get semi-regular playing time.

Pitchers are dealing today.

Brewers have had a bit of bad luck so far. Hart looked like he crushed one with 2 runners on in the 1st inning, but the wind just laughed. Izturis actually had a solid little grounder up the middle, but the double-play shift did exactly what it was supposed to do.

Listening at work...should Braun have had the ball Clevenger hit?

No way he could have caught it. He misplayed it when it bounced, though, which probably turned a single into a double.

4 straight singles, and 6 out of 7 hits in the inning against what really is a very poor lineup. Has anything been hit well? Greinke just missing his spots or what?

Edit: Soriano steal? Seriously? And another ground ball single?!??!

Another one of those huh. The one he hit yesterday I swear was an accident. What is going on here? 3 straight singles? Greinke just lose it or what?

Combination of good hits and "lucky" ones. The double was a bloop, the single after that was a jam-job that the guy muscled into left-center. Pretty legit hits after that until Soriano's luckbox.

And now a little dribbler gets through the shift.

On top of all that, the Lucroy actually did a decent job of blocking a wild pitch, but the runner was really aggressive and made it to third. I don't think most runners would've chanced it. Lucroy made a nice throw to come an eyelash away from getting Soriano at 2nd, too.

It's innings like this that make it hard for me to get real excited about Greinke. I know his overall numbers are very good. Where do these kind of innings come from with him? How can he look so in control and then turn into Ben Hendrickson?
You may run like Mays...
