Missing Brewers farmhands (updates on Bucci, Richardson)

Brewer Fanatic Staff

Here are the Brewer farmhands that do not appear on an Opening Day roster. There's a possibility that a couple of these players will see action in Helena, but for the most part, these are players who are older or have been in the system for some time. Where injury is know, it's listed. Some of these players appeared in spring boxes, others did not. It may be difficult to get full injury / rehab updates from the organization. Hopefully Adam, Tom, and/or Todd can get updates on some of the more prominent prospect names, particularly Nick Bucci and D'Vontrey Richardson.

Should any of these players have been released, we'll learn that late this week. Our best to those players should they continue to pursue pro baseball opportunities, affiliated or independent.

Allison, Cravy, Dennis, Lasker, Paciorek, Richardson, Ruiz, and Stosh all really give my questions.

Cravy- Big live arm, ranks up Ks

Dennis- has always been a guy with upside

Lasker-had his struggles but still young and has a great name

Paciorek-was lookin good last season

D'Vo--most overall talented athlete imo in system

Stosh-was a beast last season and is young

Ruiz-guy has a talented arm no doubt, just needs to find zone

wonder if its injuries or what with these guys

Adam McCalvy:

Brewers assistant GM Gord Ash provided updates on two Minor League players not assigned to affiliates to begin the 2012 season. Right-handed pitching prospect Nick Bucci has a bout of biceps tendonitis and will remain at Maryvale Baseball Park to get healthy. Outfielder D'Vontrey Richardson, No. 20 on MLB.com's list of the top Brewers prospects, has yet to report to Spring Training.

"He is addressing some personal issues at home," said Ash, who could not elaborate.

MiLB.com indicated today that RHP Andre Lamontagne has been placed on the AA Huntsville "reserve list". Lamontagne missed all of 2011 with what the Brewers termed right shoulder bursitis.

So we may not know more for some time there...
