I don't know about you guys, but I think last night's episode might have been the best in the history of the series.

I agree, but what's blown me away about this season is how many times I've thought that after the newest episode.

Tonight's was... Wow.

Yeah, that was a shocker. What are they going to do to top it next week?

The ending to the last episode was really fitting with Don and Sally's friend's dialog in the elevator, and then Don letting him drive his car home. I can't say why, but it really touched me. Two frustrated guys doing everything right, but constantly encountering obstacles.

I sort of thought that this was the season finale. I can't wait to see what they have in mind for next week.

Once Roger Sterling dies of a heart attack (and you know that's coming eventually) then I may have to stop watching. That guy rules. I hope they skip ahead to the 70's next season. I want to see some serious mutton chops on Don Draper.

From what I've gathered from interviews with Jon Hamm and others, they don't intend to take the series into the 70's, at least too far. Realistically I think we might get one more season and that's probably going to be it.

I recall reading somewhere that next season will be the last. Of course I can't remember where or verify that.

This season finale might actually seem a little let-down-ish, since almost literally every ep. this whole season has been outstanding. But I still can't wait for it.

Pete Campbell is good at taking punches to the face.

Definitely thought it was going to be Sally's friend that was calling Megan on the phone, breathing and hanging up. Definitely got a laugh when Roger said it was him.

I can't really stand that Joan is sitting there with the rest of the partners, acting like its no big deal that she is there after what she did. Not sure how she could live with it, but I guess there is confidence that comes with securing your life financially.

I really liked the finale. I like the ending that suggested to me that Don might be going back to his man whoring ways.

It will be interesting to see where the writers take Peggy's storyline. I would really like to see her competing aggressively against Don.

I didn't really like how Pete's affair ended. It seemed like sort of a copout.

And I agree with you bullox, what Joan did to become partner is pretty disgraceful and I'm not sure how everyone can just let it go like it was no big deal. Am I overreacting on that? Her character is probably the last one on the show that I would have suspected of agreeing to something like she did.

Joan sort of gets a pass after getting served with divorce papers, I guess.

I liked the season finale. I think I was expecting something bigger to happen, but it nicely tied up most of the lose ends from this season. I really can't see Don Draper reverting to his old ways, but the suggestion at the end leaves enough intrigue for next season (assuming there is one...or have they confirmed that already?).
