My 2012 Milwaukee Brewers Spring Training Autographs

bobbledude25

Hey guys, just wanted to share some of my 2012 Spring Training autographs I got from the Brewers. I don't have my autographed baseballs and trading cards pictured yet. I might add them later...

All photos are 8x10

Nice work, very nice. How hard are they to get down there...have been thinking about making a trip for years?

Thanks. Every year it gets harder and harder for autographs from the Brewers. I've been going for the past 3-4 years in a row. The first Brewers home game at Maryvale NOBODY on the Brewers signed. The majority of these autographs came at practices

From what I have observed it seems they are more willing to sign at road games than they are at Maryvale. Yount signed for a good 7-8 min along the first base line before last Thursdays game though.

Yeah thats true. Yeah, I saw Yount signing, I guess I should of specified "nobody" as in no current player

Ive never been a big autograph guy, but I can understand why its getting harder to obtain autos. A few players I know from various teams have basically said its the people who collect tons of autos and sell them and rude fans that ruin it for them. I witnessed this first hand last week at Maryvale. There was presumably a class of 3rd-4th graders at the game (they all had school uniforms on) standing by the tunnel before the game. None of these kids knew who the players were, nor did they even seem to be fans of either team (Brewers or Dbacks), but it just amazed me how rude they were, *demanding* autographs from players. I even heard a couple kids yell at Yount to get his "you know what" back here and sign for us". Long story short the teacher finally comes down to supervise her students (crazy concept) and was upset that the players werent signing for the kids. It took everything in my power to not tell her that her students were being brats, but I refrained. On a positive note though, there was a young couple from WI there who had a handmade sign for their friend who has cancer. They got signatures from players on both teams and Robin took several minutes to talk to them and sign for them and invited them to come back early the next day and he said he would sign things for their friend. Pretty cool gesture I thought.

Even though this situation sucks, there are so many times where some respectable and polite kid who wants a signature and the player walks pass them.

Just to follow up on that, they did show up early the next day and Robin brought them down into the dugout to sign stuff and take pictures. At the time I had no idea what was going on, so your post filled in the first part for me.
