BrewCrew,

when he announced the Fielder signing last year, he announced it less than a week in advance, I don't get why, I think they would get more if they announce it a month in advance, but for some reason they don't do that. And btw, I wasn't accusing you of lyinghttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif , I just hope Hall gets going before the signing...

Bhf, have you ordered by phone before? How does that work do I pick my ticket up the day of then? Also my finacee would like to come along since Hall is her favorite player, but she doesn't want an autograph. Could she still stand in line with me and see Hall?

Yes, you can order by phone just call them and give them a credit card number. Tickets do not go on sale until Monday after 10am thats what the email said I got from Jeff. They will give you your ticket number over the phone, and you just go in tell them you name and ticket number. I phone ordered for the Prince Fielder signing because I was not able to make it, so I dropped off my jersey I wanted signed and they got it signed for me. I am going to do the same thing for the Bill Hall because I cannot make the morning.

Yes you can have your fiancee stand in line with you and see Bill Hall. I asked them this before about if someone could wait in line if they were not going to get something signed and the said no problem.

They limit the number of tickets available, but they do not sell out. I know they try to get it sold out. I know when Prince signed they did not let anyone take pictures with Prince because the signning was running behind.

Tickets for Bill Hall are $20 for photos and $25 for premiums such as jerseys, bats, etc.

Yep for sure. I know at the Turnbow signning everyone was able to get a picture, but Prince showed up late to Jeff's for his signning, so they had to rush him out because he had to be to the ball park by a certian time. I think Prince was actually at another signning before Jeff's and that one ran late.

Just a few general impressions that I thought I'd share from getting some stuff signed at Spring Training last month.

I heard people say that Bill Hall is one of the friendliest signers that they've come across...I'm new to autographs, but I agree, he was very friendly and laughed when I mentioned a poster here was trying to get a "Bill Hall Day" in Nettleton, and he said "keep working on it". However, by far the nicest signer that we came across was Tony Gwynn Jr. Obviously, his star power is not as big as Bill's, so he wasn't hounded as much and had a little more time, but he was always friendly and would chat with you and make jokes with the kids that were around and stuff. Seemed like a really nice guy and was still a little blown away with all the attention. Again, his name is not as big as others, heck, he's not even on the big league club, but J.D. Closser was another great signer...he signed before all 4 games that we were at.

Capuano, Miller and Suppan were also extremely nice and Suppan even called the girl I was with "sweetie". Ned Yost and Doug Melvin were also kind enough to let us take pictures with and asked where we were from.

While I am not making judgement as I'm sure they get all annoyed with it all after a certain point, but Craig Counsell wasn't exactly the friendliest when we were there. Not only did he not sign, but he didn't even give you a courtesy smile or say "Not today guys, sorry"....he just walked by you avoiding eye contact.

As far as the minor league guys, they were all willing to give autographs, as I expected, and I was lucky enough to get stuff from Gallardo, Inman, Jeffress, Cain, Gillespie and Wahpepah. Jeffress seemed a little surprised when I asked him to sign a ball, he was just standing there by himself away from the other players watching BP and when I asked him he gave me a look, kind of like "are you sure you want me to sign this?"

Anyways, those are the impressions that I came away with from AZ. Of course, I can only speak for the 4 days that we were there, and the players that we ran into during that time.

(We also ran into the wives of Corey Hart and Prince Fielder...though I was too embarrassed to ask to take a picture with them)
