Automatic logout on iphone (and other devices)

Is there a new feature that automatically logs you out if you've be idle? I normally just leave BF.net as an open page on my phone and I am able to check it without logging in each time.

I'll defer to 1992casey for a true explanation, but the same thing has been happening to me on PC and Mac desktops. I haven't timed it, but I doubt you get more than 30 minutes of idleness before the logout.

Have you noticed if you're more likely to stay logged in if you check "Log me on automatically each visit" when logging in? I've had some unexpected logouts in Firefox / Mac, but at this point, I've attributed it to not checking that box.

 

I've edited the topic title to cover the fact that hawing has observed this on devices in addition to the iPhone.

I get logged-out on Firefox unless I keep a page open on Brewerfan.net.

When signing-in, make sure the "Log me on automatically each visit" is checked.

I checked the box, and I have not been automatically logged out. I thought I did this before though.

"Log me on automatically each visit" is now checked by default when a member wants to log into Brewerfan. That should guard against "surprise" logouts. That change hasn't been made at LambeauLeap yet.

 

It's possible that it could be decided to make all logins expire after a period of time (e.g. two weeks) if it would have a positive impact on site performance.
