I'm not a huge Stones fan, but I should probably add them to my list. I heard Springsteen puts on an amazing show, but I haven't listened to much of his stuff besides the singles. Which Springsteen records should I check out?

Haven't heard of a lot of these acts, but with some of them that I have heard of, you may want to change the premise to 'before they die'. The only one that I can think of would be something involving Page/Plant, but I think that window has closed. I'm still kicking myself for missing them both times they came to the B.C. in the 90's (back when big tours still stopped in MKE).

I have seen pretty much everyone I ever wanted to see to be honest.

Would love to see KISS again, but only the original 4 members, no fill ins.

I've also been lucky enough to catch almost all of the bands on my list over the years. Live music and music festivals was my passion for several years so I clicked most of the big ones off and have seen most of them multiple times. There are still a couple that I have missed that I would REALLY enjoy.

Arcade Fire

Neil Young

Rolling Stones

Tom Waits

Unfortunately I now have to fly to Seattle to see big name bands so I don't get much live music. Alaska isn't really considered a must stop location on major US Tours. :(

AK definitely lacks live music, but at least you are in ANC. 311 played in Fairbanks in 2010 and tickets were around $50 (and people actually paid it.)

Born To Run

Nebraska

The Wild, The Innocent, & The E Street Shuffle

Darkness on the Edge of Town

Those are my favorites, but I love all the albums from Greetings From Asbury Park through Nebraska. I don't care all that much for Born In The USA because I think the production sounds dated. Same goes for most of his output after that. For his later career stuff, I also love The Rising. Since that album he has been pretty average.

I assume they have to actually be currently together? I mean otherwise Talking Heads would dominate my list.

Rolling Stones

Neil Young & Crazy Horse (supposedly a tour announcement coming soon)

The Cure

Lou Reed (though I heard his Lollapalooza show a few years ago sucked)

I'll second Explosions in the Sky, Daft Punk and Spoon. There's plenty more current acts I'd love to be able to see, but those three would be right at the top. I'd put The Shins on here but I'll probably see them at Bonnaroo.

I don't know if I have anyone on my list because the bands I wanted to see are too old now and just wouldn't be the same. In their primes, I would've loved to have seen Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and the Stones.

I wanted to add that Arcade Fire is a very very special live band - or at least used to be. Saw them at a tiny tiny club in Milwaukee (Mad Planet) and that is still the best show I've ever been to - and I've been to many. See them if you ever get the chance.

Quickly without thinking about it to much. Been on a rap kick so;

Scroobius Pip

Sage Francis

b. Dolan

But the two bands I would viciously kick kittens to be able to see are

The Refused

At the Drive In's

Coachella your siren's call is drawing me in. I must resist you. I must resist you. I can't call in sick for a week to work and fly out there. I can't.

Finally because I am madly foolishly ridiculously in love with Zooey Deschanel, She and Him. (To be fair I'd be fine if Him didn't even show up)
