Ryan Braun exonerated, no suspension… Latest: MLB drops Eliezer Alfonzo suspension; case similar to Braun's (part 1)

If I'm reading Will Carroll's tweets correctly. It sounds like cnnsi didn't want the article. And that he's looking for someone to publish it and he won't just blog it because he feels he needs to be paid? Why wouldn't SI want it if it's about Braun and the science of it all? Or am I reading it wrong?

Saw that. Not sure what it meant either. I hope Braun talks first and then Carroll's article reaffirms much of what Braun says...

Reading it wrong. He said a couple of guys already wrote a piece on the situation. Not sure if they covered the same sciency stuff that we would have but maybe SI just didn't want multiple pieces on the story.

This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

Can anyone post important stuff Braun might say? I have a meeting for the next 2 hours and will miss it, but I will likely get the chance to check BF.net on my phone a few times to see what the deal is.

Is that sad that it's this important to me that I can't wait 2 hours to see what he says? Not sure...

So, we know with some certainty now that the issue was bigger than a "technicality", which should be surprising to no one given the rigor of MLB's testing process. Incidentally, it's just so ironic that talking heads chose to write off this decision this way after talking up the strength of the 13-0 record until yesterday.

I still don't get it. Why is anyone talking about a 13-0 record on these matters? As I understand it, if the information never gets leaked (as it did in this case), and the player wins the appeal, we would never even hear about it. For all we know, MLB could have a losing record in these cases. Am I wrong on this?

If I had Braun's pee in my fridge I'd tell everybody.

But wasn't the idea that he had NEW stuff? About replicating the tests and whatnot? If that's the case and this is really new stuff that could really help explain what the deal is, wouldn't places be jumping up and down to get it? Would it matter to have 2 articles on it if they were completely different?

Sorry to ask, but it would be awesome if someone could post links to all the audio or video in one post like the guy on Mike and Mike, Will Carroll's interview, and Braun's presser. I'm in meetings and missing most of this unfold while this thread gets more and more massive. I just don't want to miss anything.

I've been dying for a new sig...thanks Nottso :)

If anyone can post a link to a video of Braun's announcement or even just a recap, it would be greatly appreciated. Not sure I'll be able to get away for it.

Glad to be of service (I think).

I'm not sure, all I know is he said that a couple of guys already wrote an excellent article on the situation.
