Great coffee starts here

backup catchers

I don't know if anyone else roasts their own coffee but if you do I found a great place to find a large variety of green beans. Not only do they offer good beans but the website is very helpful in sorting the type of bean you might want. I've tried about 20 differant types. All of which match pretty well with the reviews they gave them.

If you love good coffee and don't roast your own I highly suggest trying it. Beans start to lose their flavor in a few days. Once you start it would be hard to go back to anything store bought. Even the gourmet stuff takes a back seat to fresh roasted. If you are interested the site also has roasters and pretty much everything you need to get started. The aroma of fresh beans itself is enough to make you change what you drink now.

Should warn you there is smoke in the roasting process itself. That was not the aroma I was talking about. If you have a vent on your stove that works fine. Otherwise if the wind is right point it out a window. Doing it outside is preferable in the summer. Any questions about it feel free to ask. I'm no expert but I have roasted my own for about 10 years.
