Bobblehead Collection Display Photos

TURBO

Got this idea from a bobblehead website.

Thought it would be cool to post photos of our bobble collections. I'll start!

Every full sized SGA the Brewers have ever given out is pictured below, except the 2009 Talking Braun, which I do not have)

I also have all 38 sga minis, but don't have the space to display them yet.

Also, only missing the Italian Sausage mini sga. There are 4 in the set, and they are tough to get. I keep hoping they do a chorizo to complete the set, but with every passing year, the odds of that seem slimmer.

Also not pictured are the stupid, dumb, ridiculous, beer vendor bobbles. Those are in a tote, and will never see the light of day in my displayed collection. Buckethead brigade bobble is also not displayed, no good reason, just never put it out there.

Just realized that the Fang Nappa Race Car is not pictured either, better get that one out of storage to add to the Fang section...

Was always a big Rickey Henderson fan, hence the Henderson collection.

Also a BIG Buccaneer fan as you can tell from my super bowl bobbles. Been a fan since their inception, so no fair weather nonsense on my end. (Not that there has been much fair weather as a Buc fan lately...)

I hope this inspires others to share their collections as well!

Wow, that's an amazing collection! Mine's nowhere near as extensive as yours, but I thought I'd share:

http://i1159.photobucket.com/albums/p637/Vgmastr/bobbles.jpg

I've never gone out of my way to collect bobbleheads. I've had 9-packs for the last few years, so if I had tickets to a game where there was a giveaway, great, but I never went to a game specifically for a bobblehead. I do have the Uecker and Milwaukee Brave nesting dolls, as well as three big head bobbles. The Prince one I received as a birthday gift a few years ago, and the Hart and Hoffman ones I picked up at the annual Clubhouse Sale for super cheap. You can barely see it since it's the same color as the bookcase, but behind Polish's shoulder is a Bert Blyleven statue that I got as a giveaway in Minnesota for a Brewers/Twins game.

A few other non-bobblehead items in my collection:

I received a hand painted Miller Park baseball from my sister this past Christmas that she got directly from the artist. I also have a cup of Fenway Park dirt that I got when I went to the Brewers/Red Sox series this past season.

This is a Blatz Beer statue promoting the Milwaukee Braves on TV. My grandfather apparently found this in someone's trash back in the '60s and my dad gave it to me when he passed away a few years ago. The only thing is there is another flag that is missing, so I'm sure that takes the value down a bit, but I'll never get rid of it so it doesn't much matter to me.

This is kinda dated. I took this in July of 2010. Since then I've taken down all the regular jerseys and left up the alternates/retros to make room for a lot of the minor league ones I was missing at the time. Now I'm only missing the Alternate Helena Braun, Indianaoplis Uecker, Indianaoplis Rowdie, Attanasio, Hall Track Suit, 2004 Bernie, and a couple of last years Brewers SGA's.

Maybe later today I can get a better picture up here.http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/6095/bobbleheads.jpg

Pictures aren't great, but here is what I have. I started around 2007 and have most of the bobbles since then as well as a few pre-2007. I do not collect the regulars and the retros, I just try to get one or the other. I would love to be able to get light inside my display cabinet so that they can be seen a little better.

Hoping to add a few more- money is a little tight to add a lot at the moment.

very nice turborickey...I had the complete set up until the summer of 2008. I moved away to college and just kind of lost the interest, now when I go home I see them all sitting there and I can't decide if I will miss them if I sell them all or if I should keep them. Part of me wants to look on ebay for the 10 or so that I am missing since then, but I just can't bring myself to spend the money on them anymore, especially when the student loan clock will start ticking after may. So I thought I'd just keep the regular ones and downsize so I can fit them all into a box, I just can't decide what to do.

But that set up looks great, if you have a chance, I'd love to see the whole room collection, cause it looks like you have some other memorabilia too.

Ok, I got my custom built MINI bobble display case today! It isn't on the wall yet, but I couldn't help myself from putting the bobbles in it to see what it would look like.

Every sga mini the brewers have ever given away is pictured except for the mini italian sausage. I don't have it yet.

:(

If anyone is interested in the displays I have in my photos (the wooden shelf ones with the plexi fronts), the guy who does them is on ebay. He does cheap custom work as well, for example, the mini case I posted above tonight cost me $65 shipped. I gave him the dimensions I wanted last Friday, and got the case in the mail on Tuesday, that is fast!!! The quality is excellent, very solid, no cheap wood, the real stuff throughout!

I asked him if I could post his information and he said sure! If you contact him, please tell him that you heard about him through me. He will know me as turborickey or Tony.

ebay name: bruce1t

I'm sure he would be thrilled to get the kind of business a board like this could possibly throw at him. He is easy to work with and will do anything you need. He sells a pretty high volume of display cases on ebay, for anything you could possibly collect. If you look him up there, you can see what he does. As I said above, he will also do custom stuff, all he needs are the details and he takes off!!!!

How heavy are they? I like how it looks, but I'd want to hang mine somewhere. I already have a huge shelf area full of bobbles and signed balls and whatnot and I'm out of room, but it would need to be hung on the wall. And obviously that falling would be a huge disaster.

I have them hung on the wall, it's not an issue what-so-ever. Make sure they are secured into the wall (studs) and you will have no problems. I have 2 hung on the wall in my basement (3 when I hang the mini display) and my son has 2 hung in his room.

They are made to hang on the wall, that is the purpose.

  • 1 month later...

Those are great collections, fellas. Mine is pretty small, and mostly made up of Corey Hart's I've repainted. The pair of Wolfs (Wolves?) are significant because the give away date is my wedding anniversary. I have a Gamel that is similar to the Hart on the bottom on its way, as well.

Looks great to me! Love the yellow jersey Hart!

We all start someplace, no collection is too small if you like what you have!!!

I have a lot of extras if you'd want to start filling in your collection.. Let me know if you are interested!
