May 22nd NBA draft lottery

statman0007

I'd take Julian Wright over Green.

I'm still depressed we didn't get a 1 or 2 and that if we didn't tank we probably would have won the 31 or so games needed to be the 6 seed and win this lottery.

I still agree with tanking as it does give you the best odds. But a lessons was learned in a big way this year (and many others) that tanking doesn't give you anything but disillusioned fans and a little bit better mathematical chance of getting the top pick.

I think the NBA system works. Everyone was up in arms that the bottom 3 teams tanked their way there, which they probably did, but none of them got anything for it.

Portland though, 2 years in a row. They "won" the lottery last year in terms of getting the best player (which doesn't say much, Roy wasn't too impressive anyways), the guy with the most potential (Aldridge) and then winning a guarnteed franchise player for the next 12 years in Oden.

Larry Harris....the guyy really is a slick, snake oil salesman....and it keeps blowing up in his face (Mason trade, Ford trade so far, tanking this season away...). I like LH still but I'm definitly not in his rah-rah camp.

I just can't get past thinking the Bucks are doomed for at least 6 years unless this pick really works out.

Horford has Bucks ties (his father played for the Bucks) so he would be a logical fit.

Horford's dad sat on the bench and Del Harris, Larry's father, never played him and eventually ran him out of town. (Or, Del never recognized that Tito's strength was rebounding and blocking shots, but expected Tito to be a big offensive threat which is not him.) So why would Al want to play for the team run by the son of the man who sat his dad on the bench, didn't use him properly, and ran him out of town?

Tell me how Al has any choice in where he plays.

Horford would be a blessing. He's not going to be there though. :-( I don't think he'd have any problem at all about playing here. CV and him are both Dominican and will play for their national team together.

Seriously though, anyone but Julian Wright and Jeff Green. Don't need a 3 and I think these guys are going to bust. More so Julian.

I'm officially jumping on the Mike Conley bandwagon. Goodbye Mo.

Anyone but Wright or Noah.

I don't think I could watch Bucks games if they draft Noah.

Horford and Conley Jr will be gone by the Bucks pick. Mark it down.

That said, I'd go with Brewer unless you plan on trading Gadz, which will be difficult. Brewer will give us the three guard offense (even though I want more Offense to go through Bogut) and added Defense. Wright, given good teaching can turn out to be someone special I think.

We better not get Noah!!!

He can hold out and demand a trade. He's a junior, so if he hasn't hired an agent he can go back to school. NBA rookie contracts are only three or four years, so after his contract is up he can leave without the Bucks getting any compensation. Bottom line is I don't want the Bucks to pick a player who doesn't want to be here.

I still say that there is virtually no difference in quality between who is available at #6 and who is available #12-#15, so I say trade down to grab one of the power forwards expected to go mid-first (or Acie Law) and pick up an extra first next year.
