Played for 3 years in a 12 team(AL and NL) competitive league and finished in the top 4 all 3 years(Roto 5X5).

The league folded after the 2010 season, so I tried finding a league in 2011 and couldn't find a fit.

Wondering if any leagues are looking for an additional manager. Love Baseball and Fantasy Baseball is my favorite, even over Fantasy Football.

PM me if you see a fit.

I don't know if there is already a BF.net league, but if there isn't, perhaps we could start one? I didn't get hooked on Fantasy until this year when I joined a Fantasy Football league (and failed miserably), but I was hoping to join a baseball league this year.

Does anyone have any experience playing in a draft-and-hold league? Often times, the owner that is most active on the waiver wire ends up winning fantasy baseball leagues. We put so much time into draft prep, we ultimately don't find out who drafted the best. The idea behind a draft-and-hold league is that you draft a deep roster of 40 or 50 players (23 players active), and eliminate free agent pickups (or limit them to ~monthly acquisitions to replace injuries, etc) with weekly roster changes.

This format seems ideal for those who want to supplement a daily league and don't want to constantly tinker with more than one team.

Is this format fun? Is a snake draft or auction better for this format? What kind of budget would you allow for a 40 player roster? Any input on this is appreciated, thanks.

You don't have an Adam Wainwright. Easily the best gentlemen in all of sports. You don't have the amount of real good old American men like the Cardinals do. Holliday, Wainwright, Skip, Berkman those 4 guys are incredible people

We have 3 spots in a new league this year. This is probably not a good league for beginners but isn't as hardcore as it initially looks. I have played with this scoring system for a long time and really enjoy it. I can e-mail the league constitution to anyone who is interested, just send me a PM. Lots of Brewer fans in the league, some Twins fans.

Auction Draft - March 11th 1 PM
5 keepers
7 man minor league bench (separate minor league snake draft)
H2H Points - Weekly Match Ups
$40 (using leaguesafe.com to hold the money)
Unique scoring system, favors power hitting and power pitching

We will most likely be using fantrax.com to host the league.

Since it seems other people are doing it, I'll advertise our league here.

We're in the second season of a 12-team keeper auction league. We're moving to CBS commissioner league this year. We have one spot left.

-8 Keepers--that's based off the player salary (so better players will cost more to keep). You don't have to keep 8, but that's the max. Keeping fewer would give you more auction money for the draft.

-Rotisserie scoring, 5 offensive and 5 pitching categories.

-$40 entry fee

-You would inherit the last owner's team. You could keep up to 8 players, but you would pay a salary to keep that player based on his ranking and what the owner paid last year (more info on this if you want it). You don't have to keep any players, or you can just keep a few, if you want.

-Draft is 4 pm on Sunday, March 18

It's a pretty intensive league, so we're looking for enthusiastic owners who are willing to put some time into it.

PM if interested.

After thinking about it some more, I'm kicking around the idea of starting a league up again (but from scratch...I had too many people drop out during last season). It would probably be a 12 team NL-only keeper league. Live online draft. No cash, just for fun. Would probably be on ESPN, as I like their draft setup. Please let me know if you'd have interest in participating.

Seems the place to ask questions over players I'm having a tough time evaluating. What's Ryan Vogelsong worth in a 12 team, $260 cap, NL only, 4x4? I have the option of keeping him for $10 but I'm also seeing if there's trade interest.

I am hosting a Brewerfan only fantasy baseball league. I want 14 teams, will go to 16 teams. I have been a Comish for at least one league for 14 years straight. Want to keep it cheaper at $25 per. Pay outs for top 3 teams. Oh, and This will be a yearly event with a Brewerfan trophy (the WOAH SOLVDD trophy?) for the winner. Bottom 3 teams will be replaced if demand deems so. This is sooooo long overdue :)

Keeper question:

I can keep two pitchers, keeping Price, and I have Beckett, Feliz, and Pineda. I was deciding between Feliz and Pineda, and I think it will be Pineda. Feliz doesn't seem ranked very highly this year with his switch to the rotation and one of the players is a huge Yankees fan. So I thought Pineda to annoy him and hope I can still get Feliz later. I don't really trust Beckett anymore, he was great last year but he's been to up and down for me lately. And Pineda could end up being someone worth keeping every year.

Hey guys, I'm starting my league up again this year. I know a few people on here played last year. But just seeing if anyone's interested. It's currently a 10-team, but I'm going to add people on top of whoever returns, so it'll likely be bigger. It's a standard H2H 5x5 ESPN league. I'll probably hold the draft on April 2 or 3. PM me your email address if interested. Thanks.

Which tandem will perform better this year for a 5x5 league; Prince and Hanley Ramirez or Texeria and Tulo?

I'm banking on Prince and Hanley as they were my first and second round picks.

I have Braun and Hart on my team. Wanna pick up a backup for when they get a day off. So my question for you guys is who do you pick up...Gomez or Aoki? Aoki is probably Braun's backup, Morgan is probably Hart's meaning Gomez plays CF. I'm leaning toward Gomez because i think Hart will get more days off but wanted to get some other opinions. What's your thought?

Figured I would put this here: tomorrow, Disciples of Uecker is running a free one-night fantasy league on DraftStreet, and the winner will get $200.

If you've never used DraftStreet before, basically you get a $100,000 budget to build a roster of 14 players (C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, 3 OF, 2 UTIL, 2 SP, 1 RP, 1 P) for the day. The players expected to do the best on any given night "cost" more. I've played around with it before, and it's a pretty fun new way to play fantasy sports...definitely a good way to get interested in other games going on every night. Feel free to check it out if anyone is interested.
