Kobe: "Trade Me."

RyDogg66

I dont follow the NBA at all, but this seems newsworthy, as Kobe is pretty good (basically West Coast NBA Jeter).

The money works out, but does the talent, if the Bucks offered Redd and Bogut and a #1 for Kobe?

Why don't we just give them the whole Milwaukee Bucks?

Kobe is not Jordan, he is a selfish player, who I would want nothing to do with.

If I'm Jerry Buss, I'm telling my GM to trade Kobe only to a team that is going to be a non-contender. Like Atlanta (if they would send their two first rounders from this year plus, oh, Marvin Williams). Or somewhere in the relative middle of nowhere. Kobe for Garnett? Hmm...

And if Kobe complains, tell him tough. He can demand to be traded til he turns blue in the face but if he's not traded, he's still obligated to play for the Lakers. And if he refuses, other teams won't touch him. Lakers have the huge upper hand here... if they play it correctly.

Kobe's a better player in his sport than Derek Jeter is in his. Both are somewhat overrated (both are great, don't get me wrong), but Kobe is consistently a top 5-10 player in the NBA, while Jeter is not that in MLB (with the exception of 1999 and possibly 2006).

if Kobe refused to play for Charlotte, I'd figure the Bucks would be of even less interest, which is fine by me.

Los Angeles is still the perfect place for Kobe to play. He gets all the attention he wants and they are happy with him throwing up 40 shots a game.

Yes, but his me-first attitude makes him about as desirable for most teams as Ron Artest.

I still think Kobe's hands are pretty much tied as far as where he goes. He can whine all day long, but at the end of the day, he's still under contract.

We'd be the Lakers of the East except with a much worse supporting cast than Kobe has now. We'd win 40 games tops.

Kobe ran Shaq and Phil out of town, he's getting exactly what he deserves.

Kobe has a no trade clause, and if you take away Redd, Bogut, and whoever we get in the 1st Round then this team is no less in rebuilding mode than the Lakers.

One player can take a team far in the playoffs in the East. The East is the minors compared to the West...a joke.

I seem to recall 2 East teams taking the whole thing recently, so I'm not so sure how true that is.

The East as a whole is what I am implying. The Pistons have been tough, as well as the Heat. Look at most of the teams, 1 good player, maybe 2 at most. The west is loaded with players. Example - Lebron, there is noone outside of him..Just my opinion, outside of 1-2 teams a year you could easily get a 3 seed. Having 1 player can take you far into the playoffs, look at AI for those few years.

EDIT - Also, look at the Cards in baseball last year. Make the playoffs and anythign can happen. Get one good player on the team and they could easily be a 3-4 seed and make a run at the playoffs.

Kobe is not coming to Milwaukee.

I couldnt agree more, he was just stirring up some conversation and was curious what people thought. Which brough me to what I believe is the worst of the 2 conferences in the nba.

Well there goes my dream of a Kobe, Iverson, Carmello Denver.

Sadly, there's only one basketball... and those three together would probably result in Furious George returning to, well, Furiousness. I like George too much to subject him to that sort of cruelty.

I dont know what Kobe is actually looking for. Bynum is turning into an all star center and Lamar Odom is the perfect compliment to him. If they can manage a point guard who is not named Smoosh, they could already be a contender
