Say hello to Jose K!

I had to watch the rosters for a while, but it is now official. I am going to an Indy Indians game on Saturday, and Jose and Kolb are still there.

 

I have a nice bachelor party group of 20 guys going. If there are any longstanding or deeply held emotions you would like expressed at close range to these guys let me know. As long as they won't get us tossed, I'll get 20 guys to shout it from behind the dugout.

I might be in the minority, but I liked Hernandez. I was indifferent to Kolb, but I thought Jose was useful. He even deservedly made an all-star team with the team. Sure, he wasn't that great his first year, but his 2nd was fine and his 3rd year was very good.

Jose K is in AAA? Wow, that doesn't seem right. There's a lot of teams that could use him in the majors as a reserve infielder with some pop.

 

If Valentin can re-establish himself as a useful player, then why not Jo-se 2?

a good closer for three months and we only lose Obermueller for it? it's nothing special, but it doesn't so horrible as to be heckle-worthy, anyway.

 

however...maybe go to the game early with a ball and a sharpie. As he walks toward you to sign, tell him you're a huge Brewers fan and ask him if he'd take the ball over to Jose Hernandez and get his autograph for you.

The season Kolb was our closer I used to bring a sign that read "What's cooler than being cool? ICE KOLB!"

 

I really wish that woulda picked up more, Darron Sutton used it a few times live after I talked to him in person and made the request, but it never really stuck. I wish Danny the best of luck on trying to get back to the bigs.
